Remembering Mr. Ubaid Ullah Lodhi, Class of 2018The SAHSOL family was deeply shocked to hear the news of the tragic death of Mr. Ubaid Ullah Lodhi. We express our deepest sympathy with his family and friends, who have suffered great sorrow and pain - our thoughts are with them. May his soul rest in peace.

Congratulations, Class of '17!

Within two months of graduation, about 90 percent of our graduates secured their first placements, with most of them beginning their legal careers with law firms. Some law graduates have begun work at NGOs; others are serving as in-house counsel at multi-national corporations and government departments; and several others have joined the CSS.

Many congratulations to Ms. Orubah Sattar Ahmed, who has secured a judicial clerkship at the Supreme Court of Pakistan, and to Ms. Sheza Tariq, who is currently pursuing an LL.M at Harvard Law School.

We wish the Class of 2017 the very best in the years to come!

On July 8, 2017, the School of Law graduated 45 students, who, at this time, are pursuing many different career opportunities.

On February 25, 2017, SAHSOL alumni assembled at the Asifa Irfan Moot Court Room and formally resolved to launch the LUMS Law Alumni Association. The event reunited alumni spanning from the first batch (2008) up to the latest one (2016), which gave them a chance to reconnect with each other, and also provided an opportunity to the soon-to-be graduates to establish a nexus with the alumni.

In his welcome address, Dr. Martin Lau highlighted the vision and goals of the LUMS School of Law and the important role he envisions the Law School’s alumni will play in their realisation. The event concluded with a tour of the newly constructed SAHSOL building, followed by a lunch at the Executive Dining Hall at LUMS.
