S. Frey et.al., THEMIS Ground-Based Observatory Analysis 1 San Francisco, Fall AGU, December 16, 2004
Analysis
•Used predicted THEMIS spacecraft positions for conjunctions on March 5-6, 2007, during the first planned THEMIS tail
season•Pretended that observations were performed on March 4-5, 2001 when IMAGE-FUV observed 3 substorm onsets between 23:30 and 07:00 UT•Mapped THEMIS GSM-positions along magnetic field using the
Tsyganenko-2001 model with propagated ACE solar wind conditions for March 4-5, 2001 as input parameters
•Constructed auroral keograms in FUV data as would be collected by location-fixed GBO’s
•Constructed auroral keograms at the mapped footprints of THEMIS satellites as they would move over North America in time
