Volunteers Needed at St. Camillus
We need volunteers at St. Camillus to help with Rosary on Mondays
from about 10:30 to 11:30, and some Eucharistic ministers to serve
on some of the units. Anyone interested could come and help a cou-
ple of times to see if they are interested in becoming a volun-
teer. For Rosary on Mondays we need transport help. People might
also help leading the Rosary. An extra Eucharistic minister would
also help at Rosary. Call me for questions/details at 315-468-2283
([email protected]), or call Candace Lawrence, the Pastoral
Care Director at St. Camillus directly at 315-488-2951.

Respect Life
There are no words to describe the kind of evil manifested by the
deeds done against our nation on September 11, 2001 and deliber-
ately planned long before that. The attack was against human life,
and that is the greatest loss we incurred. The attack was also on
key symbols of New York City and our country, that is likewise of-
fensive. Symbols have meaning; we live by them and they help us
to keep our bearings. Ne of the key symbols, of course, is the flag,
which we should see everywhere, and which continues to draw us
together as citizens of a nation based on the self-evident truth that
life is sacred. Through these sad events we are reminded that we
are vulnerable, and need to call on God’s protection and provi-
dence.
(Priests for Life)
“Act justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8
**Bible Study will resume in Septem-
ber. Enjoy the summer!
God reveals himself to us through the Bible. We
come to know Him and ourselves be"er when we study
the Word. Sr. Brigid O'Mahony and Fr. Brian break
open the meaning of Scripture and how we can apply it
to our lives. No experience is necessary - we encourage
everyone to join us. Bring a Bible - bring a friend! The
next mee#ng will be September 17th Where: Media
Room Please consider bringing a friend and joining us!

Parish Mass and Picnic
September 18, 2016
Beginning with Mass at
10:30am
Please plan on joining us!
The Parish the Prays Together Stays Together.
At 3:00 every afternoon, we will pray together as a par-
ish wherever we find ourselves. We remember personal
and other intentions as we ask the Blessed Mother to inter-
cede for us. Here are a few intentions for our daily prayer
this month.
· Peace in the country and the world
· The success of our parish picnic
· The success of our 2016-2017 Faith Formation pro-
grams
· Our students heading out for college
· Our brothers and sisters in need.
Please take a few moments to pray whatever prayer is
special to you.
St Leo’s in Tully will be having its annual picnic on Sunday, September 11 from 12:30 to 3:30. This year, we will also be celebrating Father Carey’s 50th An-niversary of Priesthood.
He would be thrilled if some members of the St Charles-St Ann's congregation could attend this func-tion. As part of the celebration there will be a slide show entitled “This is Your Life” with many pictures from his past. If you have any pictures to include, please call the parish office. 468-1803.
Every week this summer our young people from St. Charles-St. Ann’s have traveled to the Matthew 25 Farm in Vesper, NY. Each week they have helped to pick fresh produce and deliver it to the Food Pantries of Assumption and St. Lucy’s. We have picked hun-dreds and hundreds of pounds of beans, peas, potatoes, cucum-bers, yellow squash, zucchini, tomatoes, onions – all donated to local Pantries.
Each year the Matthew 25 Farm has one major fundraiser, the Harvest Golf Tournament. The Tournament is on September 17th at Pompey Club 11:00am registration. If you like to golf and even if you are not that good at it, please consider signing up for the Tour-nament – it’s Captain and Crew. You can sign up at www.matthew25farm.com!
A big part of the Tournament for them is the 50/50 raffle tickets which will be on sale next weekend here at all Masses. One of our parishioners won big last year!!! So, let’s hope the lucky one is again from our St. Charles-St. Ann’s. Tickets are 6 for $5 and Terri Condon will even fill all of them out for you! Just fill out one ticket and she promises to fill them out for you. It is a very worthy non-profit that has made a huge difference in our community. Look up the scripture Matthew 25 and see what drives them!
FORMATION FOR MINISTRY PROGRAM
As the demands of parish ministry increase, we have
the opportunity to look for new models to serve the
faithful in our parishes. With the sponsorship of their
pastor, the Formation for Ministry program provides
the foundation for individuals to prepare to be com-
missioned as lay ministers. Classes are offered in the
regions of the diocese; retreats and workshops are
held in Syracuse.
Specialized ministries include: Pastoral Service, Faith
Formation, Liturgy/RCIA, Youth Ministry and Parish
Business Administration.
If you are interested in this program, please contact
either Father Brian or Deacon Tony.
Our God Reigns Prayer Group
Meets Tuesdays at 4pm in the Reading
Room at St. Charles. Men and women
of St. Charles-St. Ann’s are invited to
attend.
Please bring a rosary, bible
and your prayer requests.
