About Sathyabama Institute of Science & Technology (Deemed
to be University)
Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, (Deemed to be
University) was established under Section (3) of the UGC Act, 1956,
in the year 1987 having “A” accreditation by NAAC. The Sathyabama
Institute of Science and Technology has successfully completed 30
year in the academic line. Sathyabama is a pioneer institute imparting
knowledge in the areas of Engineering, Technology, Management,
Science and Humanities. The progress and contribution of the SIST in
the field of technical education for three decades, made the Ministry
of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India, to grant University
status Under Section (3) of the UGC Act, 1956. Sathyabama Institute
of Science and Technology is steered towards success under the
leadership of visionary Founder Col. Dr. JEPPIAAR, and Tmt.
Remibai Jeppiaar, and the able support and guidance of the
Chancellor, Dr. Mariazeena Johnson and President, Dr. Marie
Johnson. The University has undertaken various sponsored projects
funded by both International & National organizations and also
successfully conducted non- formal education programs through 18
village Resource Centers all over the state.
About Process and Product Development Centre
Process and Product Development Centre for technological up-
gradation of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) was set up
at Agra in the latter half of 1985 with the assistance of Govt. of India,
Govt. of U.P. and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Initially, it was a Government setup under SIDO and latter converted
into an autonomous body with effect from 21st July, 1986. The affairs
of the centre are managed by a Governing Council under the
chairmanship of AS & DC (SSI). The Principal Director is the chief
executive of the centre. The centre has four major divisions, viz.,
Testing Division, Product Development Division, Training Division and
Consultancy Division. The Centre provides testing for chemical,
metallurgical non-destructive ferrous and non- ferrous metals and
engineering components. It is equipped with instruments which test
raw materials, engineering products, building material conforming to
Indian and International standards.
About Entrepreneurship Development Cell
Entrepreneurship Development Cell was established by Sathyabama
Institute of Science and Technology, Deemed to be University to
motivate entrepreneurial attitude among students and continuously
conducts various program in association with MSME.

This workshop is a comprehensive training programme in Digital
Marketing Analytics. It is a three days programme that would combine
pedagogy using lectures, case studies, hands-on exercises,
assignments and practicals. This training workshop would equip the
participants to understand the nuances of digital marketing and help
them make appropriate marketing strategies using all forms of digital
media. They would be able to understand the key elements of Digital
Marketing in creating an effective digital marketing strategy.

Right from inception in 1987 the institution has attained many accolades from Government and Private professional bodies and confidence of thousands of parents and students. The Institute wrote a special page in the history of space research on 22nd June, 2016 with launch of "SATHYABAMASAT" in association with ISRO, which is the first successful mission.
