St Mary’s College, Broome, established in 1908, is an outstanding Catholic College dedicated to excellence in

education for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 Graduation.

The College has an ethos of diversity and cultural authenticity which welcomes and respects enrolements

from all denominations. St Mary’s College recognises and respects the uniqueness and individuality of

students and families. In partnership, we inspire all to learn, be creative and to have a listening heart.

Scholarship recipients must meet the following criteria:

• An outstanding academic record and provide copy of reports to validate performance.• A willingness to actively contribute to College life through its academic, pastoral, spiritual, sporting, and creative art programs.• The applicant should be willing to become involved in the College’s co-curricular activities in accordance with the

ethos of St Mary’s College.• Students applying for an Academic Scholarship must sit a Scholarship examinations and applicants who perform well in the

examination will be invited to an interview for final selection.• Maintain academic performance and record whilst holding the scholarship.• The Principal will consider the student’s involvement in his/her current school and local community.

Scholarship value:

• Scholarships offer to cover the full cost of the tuition and subject fees and associated levies. • The scholarship will also cover the cost of a stationery pack at the beginning of each academic year and book hire fees.

Conditions:For the recipients, the following factors will be considered in reviewing the continuation of the scholarship.

• Attendance.• Compliance with the St Mary’s College Enrolment Agreement.• The Scholarship will be ongoing subject to an annual review of the student’s attitude and progress.

Selection process:

• The selection process will consist of completion of the application form including school reports from the last two years.• Attendance at the St Mary’s College Scholarship Examination.• Based on the results from the exam, selected candidates will be invited to attend an interview to assist in final selection.

Submission deadline:

• Scholarship applications for 2022 close on Friday 22nd October 2021.

1 Academic Scholarship available. Students NEW to St Mary’s as well as existing students are welcome to apply. Awarded to student in Year 7 in 2022.
