2012-2013 Ontario Museums/Heritage on Social Media
- Collaborating with Public History Program alumna Jenn
Nelson on her project to build a database of all Ontario
museums and heritage sites using social media
- Social media usage of nearly one third of the 785 total
museums and heritage sites have been documented
2012-2013 Research Project, Mapping Middle English Romance
- Building a database of the place names found in Middle
English Romance using Omeka and Neatline
- Project also examines how smart phone applications
can be used to crowd source database information
2010-2011 Graduate Student, Centre for Medieval Studies, University of
York
- Masters project examined gender hierarchies within
the social networks of the urban elite of late medieval
York
- Research combined traditional historical approaches
(palaeography, Latin translation, primary and secondaryresearch) with digital humanities perspectives (using
open source social networking software to create a social
network of relationships draw from wills and charters)
2009 Research trip, University of Montpellier
- One of three students in the Medieval Studies Program
at the University of Victoria to receive a research grant to
work with manuscripts in the library of the University of

career digital humanities scholars with a group of DH students
spanning Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdoms, and the
United States
- Collaborating to create a digital humanities how to wiki and to
record a monthly podcast
