Using uplift componies punp:

ISOLATE YOUR VEIIICLE. Operate the master control switch on the vehicle andopens the guard bar.The uplift provider will as the driver to connect his vapour line if possible to do so toHds -the sites stage lb vapour balancing system. If it is not possible to make this .DSEARconnection or the uplift provide has not got an alternative vapour stack system thetanker will vent to atmosphere, this must be considered in relation to the DSEARzoning as per the standards (generally 4m in all directions from the top of thevehicle to a height of 15m above the top of the trailer)The tank chamber for the corresponding contaminated tank (Customers tank) canthen be opened and access gained to the tank drop tube.Depending upon the age and the total literage sold from the site will determine if aphysical overfill protection device is fitted to the top of the drop tube. This willrequire removing by the uplift company for them to pass there uplift pipe into thecontaminated tank.Depending upon the uplift equipment being used a connection from thecontaminated tank uplift hose to a pump and then a vehicle delivery hose to thetanker being used to receive the contaminated fuel.Once all the connections have been made and checked and both parties are happythe uplift can be startedAlways load the front compartments / pot first for the stability of the vehicle on theroad and for any reason if the procedure has to be stopped the vehicle is still safeand can be moved. Thereafter follow the agreed loading procedure as per thespecific vehicle combination being used,The driver then opens the foot valve of the first corresponding compartment to beloaded (ONLY one hose at a time)Then opens the foucet valve and the uplift company can start there pump

At this point all connections and hose being used must be checked for leaks, if anyfound the whole procedure must be stopped and the leak rectifiedThe driver and the competent person from the uplift company must remain inattendalce throughout.Depending upon the metering system being used the trailer compartment / pot isfilled up to the pre-agreed level.Stop the process and move the delivery hose to the next compartment to be loadedand repeat procedures 17 - 29

Remove and stoly fittings and replace drip caps if applicable .

On completion of the uplift all the equipment is removed and returned to iscorresponding vehicle, leaving the earth to the last connection to be disconnected.Make the area safe and return it to normal operating conditions.

Collect a copy of the final gauge reading or check the tank with the customer, uplift company. If Turners are delivering the replacement fuel this must be delivered in the normalrYay, in to the correct tank. Then all the pump dispensers linked to the corresponding contaminated tank mustbe flushed though,60ltr minimum must be draw through each pump dispenser. This fuel can be returned to the corresponding tank an diluted with the other newproduct that has been delivered
