Simulators and Phantoms for Medical Education
Kyoto Kagaku Co., Ltd. was founded in post-war Japan in 1948. This company originated from Shimadzu Corporation, founded by Genzo Shimadzu Sr. in 1875 of the Meiji Period (1868-1912).
Kyoto Kagaku, formerly known as "the specimens division of Shimadzu", developed in the midst of Japan's modernization period. The company grew with the primary principle of making knowledge visible and tangible and has been creating unique models and specimens for scientific education. In 1930, we succeeded in creating our first manikin made out of synthetic materials. Our products have since become accepted worldwide, contributing to the advancement of education, academia and industrial research.
Today, our activities are widely involved in the field of education for medical and healthcare professionals. Our customers range from nurses and caregivers, physicians and surgeons, radiographers and sonographers, patients and students, to residents and doctors in practice.
