• After listening to Ruth Eastham you may have a clear idea of the story you want to write and how your memory object fits into the story. If you do then start building a time line or plan the idea of your story.

You may well have lots of really good ideas and know what direction your story will go in. However, sometimes it can

be hard to start so see if these ideas can help you.

• Know what kind of story you want to write.• A time slip story- where your object is

connected to older times? How? What happens?

• Have you lost your object? How did you lose it?

• Has it not been found or given to you yet? Where will you find it or receive it?

• Make a timeline to layout your story.- How will it begin? What is the problem? How does it get resolved?

Success Criteria-writing my plan

• My story has a clear plan and structure. I know what each part/paragraph will contain and where it will lead.

• I have a title idea.

• There is a link to my memory object throughout the piece.

• I have an idea to hook my audience in from the start which I have drafted.

• I have ideas for exciting vocabulary and have created a list to help me.

The following vocabulary sheets will have been put on the website separately so you can print them off.
