Rush Creek to Thousand Island Lake
A moderate trek into the beautiful Ansel Adams Wilderness
Point of Interest
Description Beginning at the Rush Creek Trailhead, near Silver Lake (in the June Lake area), this rather easy route follows Rush
Creek past Agnew Lake, Gem Lake, Waugh Lake, connects with the JMT, and then on to Thousand Island Lake. From Thousand Island Lake, where a base camp can be established, possibilities are endless: climb up to North Glacier Pass, and perhaps even climb Mt Davis for a spectacular view of the whole area, including West towards Yosemite
