Mad Mudder, Sat., Sept. 17, Marshall Mountain.
Flash from the Past
Editor’s Note: Thanks to long-
time member and former club
officer Rich Voorhees for providing
past newsletters for this section.
In August 1992, the Missoula
Road and Track Club was
planning its August run and
potluck. This one was at a
member’s house with a pool.
Walkers were encouraged to
attend.
A report of the July run and
potluck at Blue Mountain was
in the newsletter with evidence
that runners do have upper
body strength. After returning
from their 6-mile run they
found that a member’s car had
rolled down a slight
embankment and into a tree.
Half a dozen runners managed
to push the car back into place.
The evening ended with
burgers and other refreshments.
The club reported that they had
212 members.

Missoula Marathon Missoula Marathon & Half Marathon, Sunday, July 10, 2011 Well another great Missoula Marathon is in the books and everybody in the
club should be proud of this year’s great event! With a dedicated committee,
an active club, and a committed city< 2011 Missoula Marathon went off
without a hitch. Now there are things that we need to improve on and believe
me, we will. But overall, the comments and emails have all been positive and
full of praise for our event.
I want to say thank you to the club for stepping up in a year of
transition, working hard and putting on the best Missoula Marathon yet. I
still sit here amazed by the work of dedicated RWM members to put on an
event that makes the club, city, and state proud!
In September we will have multiple pages dedicated to the Missoula
Marathon<. Everything from a thank you to our sponsors, to the final
numbers of the 2011 event. Thank you for another great event and
congratulations to all members for putting on one of the best races in the
country! Thanks.
Happy Running

Missoula Marathon Back of the Pack Cheerleaders The Back of the Pack participated in many aspects of the Missoula Marathon,
both as participants and volunteers. One small group of enthusiastic
volunteers called themselves the BOP Cheerleaders. The Cheerleaders set up
in the finish area as the 5:30 marathoners were coming in. We had fresh
snacks, noisemakers, our signature bright green BOP bandannas, and a high
degree of enthusiasm. We cheered until the last finishers crossed the line.
Tracy Holland, lead cheerleader, coordinated a group consisting of
Robin Walker, Robin Wilton, Connie Chestnutt, Nadine Goeddel, Darlene
McLuskie, Bruce Randall (after he finished his own half), and yours truly.

Marathon Angel This is about the privilege I had of having an Angel here on earth with me
during The Missoula Marathon.
Shortly after the marathon started I was having a terrible time with
nausea, stomach cramps, etc. Carol stayed with me the entire marathon,
giving up her chance for a better finish time. We finished with our arms
around each other.
I've never known the amount of encouragement, kindness,
compassion & love Carol gave me. I thank you ever so much & love you for
making my first marathon such a memorable experience. GOD BLESS YOU
CAROL DRAKE YOU ROCK!!!!!

Race/Event Reports Greetings from your Chancellor of Libations:
July was a busy month for Beer Runs, and a lot of fun. We started the month
out with the first ever Missoula Marathon Beer Run (MMBR), when about 200
folks turned up at the Badlander for a quick run around town and a few
beverages. When we first started planning the MMBR we had no idea who
would show up for a Beer Run the Friday before a Sunday Marathon, but we
quickly learned that, in fact, a bunch of folks enjoy our goofy little event.
Before we started off from the Badlander I had the folks raise their
hands to show if they were from the greater Missoula area or from out of
town, and a bit over half identified themselves as local. While there were a
bunch of our ‚usual suspects‛ a great number of the locals were new to Beer

Running, so it was fun to meet them and, hopefully, at least some of them will
join us in the future for our normally scheduled events. But the big treat for
me was getting to meet some folks from around the country and a couple
folks were there from Europe, so we are now an internationally known event.
In the interest of meeting the taper needs of the various runners we
laid out three loops, three, four and five miles. The entire group started out
with a quick trip through Greenough Park, while the three milers worked
their way back to the Badlander, the four and five milers continued the tour of
town with a loop through the U of M campus and across the oval before
heading back to the final meeting place.
The groups met back up for some quality rehydration, and a bit of
socialization, if you know what I mean, and I think you do. I got to meet some
folks from Nebraska, Florida, Nevada, Michigan, Georgia and a few states I
can’t remember, as well as The Netherlands and Sweden. So it was a very
diverse night for me. The best part of the event was seeing these people again
Saturday at the Expo and, of course, as the passed the finish line on Sunday. It
was also a treat having Jeff Galloway turn up for our Beer Run, and was nice
getting a chance to talk with him for a minute or two.
I really hope we are invited to host one of these again for the 2012
Missoula Marathon, in fact I have a marketing plan for the upcoming
marathon: ‚Come for the Beer Run, Stay for the Marathon.‛
I would also like to thank everyone that helped out with this year’s MMBR
either by helping pull the event together, leading a group or just by showing
up and having fun.
A couple nights ago we had our usual July Beer Run, but this one
was a bit special in its own right, yep it was the first anniversary of the Beer
Run, so we went back to where it all started, The Silver Dollar Bar, and we ran
the same route we did a year ago, up and around Water Works Hill. It wasn’t
hard to start thinking about the runs over the past year, and how much fun
I’ve managed to have and that got me to thinking about the friends I’ve met
through Beer Runs, people that I may have met a time or two, or run with on
occasion, but would not have gotten to know nearly as well.
While we were filing back into the Dollar after the run one of the
patrons told me that she was amazed that a bunch of runners would be
hanging out in a bar, of course I told her that many of us run so we can earn
our beer. She seemed to like my answer; at least she claimed to understand.
Ok, enough of the sentimental stuff, this month we will lead our
assault from the Tamarack Brewery, 231 W. Front Street at 6:00 on
Wednesday, August 31. One other thing about Tamarack, I did a bit of
advance scouting a few weeks ago, and the food was worth the trip. For those
of you that are still sore, or worn out from running up Water Works, I promise
this run will be as flat as possible in Missoula. So mark it on your calendar,
bring a friend or two and join us. Remember my Beer Run motto: I’d love it if
you made it for the run and the beer, but if you can’t make the run, at least
show up and join us for the beer.

View From The Back There is a group of runners crossing the Higgins Street Bridge. It is early
February, the temperature is +10, the wind is blowing and the road is icy. I am
thinking, ‘What the h<. are those people doing. Have they lost their mind?’
A gust of wind brings me back to reality and I realize I am one of those
runners.
I never ran much before January, usually resorted to the elliptical or
a bicycle. Then my wife and I went to a Jeff Galloway talk at the Wilma.
Afterward, on the way home we thought a marathon might actually be
possible using Jeff’s methods. We joined the training class and the view from
the Back of the Pack began.

My ego was broken a little bit when I ended in the slowest group. I
thought I was faster. What I did not realize was those first training classes was
the start of what turned out to be six great, and sometimes grueling, months. I
met some wonderful people with whom I formed some great friendships.
We started with a three-mile run. By the time I had gone a half mile, I
could not breathe, my legs were aching, and I was convinced there was no way
I could do a marathon. Then to look at the scheduled it seemed like an
impossible task. However, with the help and support of Pam, John and the
training class, I was soon doing five, ten, thirteen and more miles.
I was never able to do the marathon due to an ankle injury. I did walk
some of the course, cheered on my fellow BOPers, and envied them some. I
thought about all the good times, the cold runs on Sunday mornings, the icy
trails, and the struggles we endured. My ego will never be broken again. I am
proud to say I belong to the Back of the Pack. It has been a great experience and
I thank all of my fellow BOPers for the great times.

Articles 26.2 How It Happened As I sit here, completely in shock to be holding a 26.2 metal in my hands, I
wonder how I got across that finish line.
A few years ago, I was facing a time of change in my life and I picked
up the phone to call a friend to ask if she would be willing to train and run a 5k
with me. Neither of us had been or were currently runners. She said, ‚I do not
run‛, and let me know that she would not be willing to join me in this new
interest. I searched online and found a program that promised to take me from
a non-runner to someone able to cross a 5k finish line in 9 weeks, and I reached
success. I continued to run and completed a couple of other 5ks and an 8k that
season. Winter, life, non-commitment allowed me to return to the couch.
The next spring, I had a relentless desire to run. I began the program
again and was successful in reaching a 5k distance. I decided to call my friend
again to see if she would now be interested. My friend worked out often,
spinning classes, elliptical, body sculpting classes, etc. She was an athlete and I
couldn’t understand why she doubted her ability to run.
I ran a couple of 5ks and signed up to start the Missoula Marathon
Training program, committing to the half. My friend would show up at the
finish line of the local races I entered and continued to be a strong support
system. I continued to run and it gave me strength, pride, peace, and joy. I felt
at home and in love with what I was doing.
One day, my friend called to say she had agreed to a 5k with one of
her other friends. What!! I was so happy that she was finally going to give it a
shot. She began running and realized that she could actually run a longer
distance than what she believed she was capable of doing. She continued to
say that it sucked, but she did not stop. We both showed up at the start and
finished a 5k race!
We ran a few 5ks that season, a 10k, and a 12k out of town. We had so
much fun at the 12k that we decided to make it our annual event. I was still
training for the ½ marathon and truly overdid it. Injury happened and I was
unable to run, barely could walk and my season was over. My friend
continued to run and found a running partner that truly provides her
encouragement, friendship and strength. I was the one cheering them across a
finish line. I was so proud of them, but yet sad that I wasn’t able to be lacing
my shoes and hitting the ground running.
Several months passed and I found myself again at square one due to
unhealthy food choices, stressful life circumstances, and no commitment to
working out. I am 43 years old, a mother of three, and a full time employee. I
am not in shape at all, feeling like I have to do it all for everyone else, and I
have let myself be last. I am the only one responsible to make this different. I
love to run. Why do I give it up?
Again, I started-but it feels different this time. I am making myself a
priority and am going to be willing to let other things go to allow this for
myself. I will ask for help if needed and I am now not willing to sacrifice this
love to make things easier for others.
Several weeks later I went to a talk about marathon training with my
friend and her running partner, and we signed up! This was a program
designed to get anyone across the finish line. It allowed for scheduled walking
with running, avoiding injury. I had every intention to committing to the half
marathon and I was excited. We began training a few days later. The first
training session had us doing 1 mile for the ½ marathon runners and 3 miles
for the full runners. We decided to do the 3 miles and stick with the full
program and would switch to the ½ when it got to be too much. Weeks turned
into months, several 5ks and our fun 12k took the place of some of our long
runs. Several times, I cheered my friends (her running partner became a dear
friend and a running partner to me too!) across finish lines and I ran on my
own due to schedules and other reasons.
17
Then it happed, we reached the point that we have trained past the
½ marathon distance. We are still feeling great!! As we continued to train, we
experienced knee trouble, ankle trouble, daycare issues, wardrobe
malfunctions, sunburns, lost toenails, ice, snow, heat, wind, chaffing,
communication breakdowns, etc. but we did not back down.
Race day came and we found ourselves at the starting line of the
Missoula Marathon. Slowly but surely each of us ran or own race and for our
own reasons. We did not finish together, but we all finished and we
celebrated together. We all faced challenges, found incredible inner strength,
developed a bond that will last throughout our lifetimes. Tears still fill my
eyes when I think about the moment that last foot step landed on the road,
crossing the finish line. I did it. We did it. No matter what, this
accomplishment defines each of us. We are capable of greatness. We are
elite. We are champions. No records were broken, but true victory occurred.
26.2 miles!
I am not wondering any longer, I know how it happened. I honored
a commitment to myself, I allowed great people into my life that supported
me through the rough moments. I took that first step and didn’t stop. It
happened because of who I am. I am a runner.

5TH Annual Missoula Marathon
MISSOULA, MT - The alarm sounds at 4:45 am on a Sunday morning and
one has to ask, ‚What am I doing?,‛ but once dressed, fed and on the way to
the starting line the answer is clear. It’s a beautiful morning at daybreak as
we leave the house. The temperature is in the mid-40’s and the weather
promises a perfect summer day.
My sweetheart drops me at the starting line 30 minutes before
race time. Runners, joggers and walkers of all ages gather. Some are
stretching, others participate in a calisthenics class, while another group
waits to use the porta-potties - one last time to go before the race begins.
Smiles abound on everyone’s face. Music plays as the emcee
shares tidbits about previous races, today’s participants, and as the time
nears directions on where to line up.
It’s only a few minutes before the cannon sounds when the
Star Spangled Banner begins to play. The crowd of 2,600+ ½
Marathoners face the flag, place their hand over their heart and begin
to sing. Patriotism is not dead.
We turn and prepare for the start when the cannon booms and the
race begins. Fireworks launch in celebration of the 5th Annual Missoula
Full & Half Marathon. Participants move toward the starting line and
begin running. The sun is just about to crest the mountain and shine on us
all. It’s a glorious day in Montana.
Everyone is a buzz with excitement. People fuss with their iPods,
groups of friends giggle and laugh as they run, and comments to be heard
include, ‚what a spectacular site; what a beautiful day; this is God’s
country.‛
We run along the Bitterroot River for the first few miles and
eventually cross over before heading through town. The volunteers are
among the best offering everything from water and ‚Gu‛ (a sports gel),
cheers and applause, to Vasoline for those sensitive chapped areas.
Neighbors come out to greet us offering words of encouragement, sprinkles
to cool down by, and music of all genres. What’s that? A baby grand piano
on someone’s front yard? Yes, and he’s playing for us! The police hold
traffic at numerous junctures and one officer powers music from her car to
entertain and encourage us. It is truly a community event, one like I’ve
never experienced on previous runs. The city of Missoula must be one of
the most hospitable, kind and generous cities.
18
Around mile 10, the Marathoners begin to catch up with my
group of ½ Marathoners, who started at a different location. The ½
Marathoners cheer the Marathoners, ‚Keep it up! Good job! Way to go!‛
We call to other ½ Marathoners in front of us to alert them:
‚Runners coming; Marathoners coming.‛ Each time, we move over
and clap. We celebrate their accomplishments just as the volunteers and
neighbors have celebrated our hard work to be running the Half.
We’re only 2.1 miles from the finish line and the energy to finish
kicks in. While the legs, feet and yes, a hip cry out in defiance the mind is
running on adrenaline. We’re almost there! The months of hard work are
paying off! Runners encourage other runners, neighbors cheer the pack
and celebrate with us.

A Perfect Marathon Day Editor’s Note: This letter was written to Pam Gardiner who helped lead the
Galloway Training Class.
Pam, I wanted to share with you my marathon experience so perhaps you
can share with the group as they prepare for their final week.
As you may remember my original goal was to run a four hour
marathon. During training I re-injured my hamstring and did not even
know if I would be able to run the marathon but after visiting with a
physical therapist we revised my plan. The new goal was to stop the speed
work-outs, slow down, keep training, enjoy the experience and complete the
marathon.
On marathon day my goal was to run to the aide stations and then
walk thru them to take in whatever nutrition was scheduled. When I got to
mile 19, and started to fatigue I would run to the mile marker, walk 30
seconds and take off. I was amazed how well I continued to feel. I also
allowed myself to look around and take in the entire experience, I reflected
on how lucky I was to be in Seattle running along Lake Washington and
Puget Sound. We passed thru a group of veterans who lined the streets for
nearly a half of mile holding flags and I thought about the many young men
and women who have lost their limbs in sacrifice for serving our country. It
was very humbling!
Mile 21, my son appeared along the side of the road waiting to run
with me the last 5 miles. As a mom I can't tell you how that warmed my
heart and gave me renewed energy. A kind of energy you don't get from a
GU. He looked at me and said "Wow you look great and you only have 5
miles to go." At around mile 24, I passed a young man about 1/2 my age
and he looked at me like no way am I letting her pass me so we ran step for
step together for about another 1/2 mile and he said "You are kicking my
butt, I'm done." I proceeded on. I was tired and fatigued from the many
hills and freeway ramps but as my journey neared the end I couldn't help
but to keep smiling. I had trained for six months thru ice, snow, wind and
rain and now I was headed for the home stretch. As I crossed the finish line
my official time was 4:29:17 and according to my watch I had run 26.77
miles. A far cry from the 4:00 hour mark! Was I happy? ABSOLUTELY! My
26.77 miles was a milestone for me. I had learned to run a marathon and
enjoy it.
On a side note the best part was the recovery I experienced. I
walked an additional five miles after the marathon to allow my legs to
recover. I stretched out before going to bed that night and the day after the
marathon, I was a little sore but felt great. On Monday, I swam and even felt
better so on Tuesday I went out for a 3 mile run and it was like I never had
done a marathon. My legs felt good. I think having the longer training
period easing into the distance certainly benefited me.
19
As I was headed to the airport on Sunday I saw fellow runners
struggling to walk carrying their ibuprofen bottles. I strolled along like a
normal person, knowing my marathon journey had changed my life, and yes
I am still smiling!
I met many people during the training and wish you all good luck.
My wish to you is for an enjoyable experience.
By the way there is a picture captured by the Seattle Times in the
Runners Edge. It is between miles 23 and 24, I am in the background with my
son on the final stretch of my journey. Wow what a perfect day!

Finishing The Marathon Together
My experience, in a way, is typical of many in the Galloway training class,
and yet, unique to me. I started my marathon training after listening to Jeff
Galloway speak at the Wilma on a cold, snowy January evening. He said
"Why not you, why not get there?" I'm 47, a bit overweight and haven't run
for years. I felt the power of his words, and knew, somehow I could do this,
running a full marathon, something I've wanted to do for as long as I can
remember.
We started with ice cleats and gloves on, in the dark, on courses that
were new to most of the class. We were up early Sundays, as the kids and
spouses slept, again, in the cold, going just a little further each time. The
injuries came for me sometime in March. An old Morton's Neuroma in my
foot, and then, a new injury within my ankle of the same foot. It looked like it
might be over. There was a lot of pain. After encouragement and patience,
and after a two week rest. I started again, slowly, baby steps. I read
Galloway's book, I scaled back, I let go of my ego and focused on finishing.
Slowly I ran again, actually learning how to run again, helped by physical
therapy and my will.
On the first long run back, I was alone. I was on my own pace,
determined to finish the eighteen miles, on Easter Sunday. Going up the hill
on Miller Creek, I heard someone behind me. It was my running partner, on
bicycle, the day after running her own eighteen miler, encouraging me,
cheering me on. This was typical of the people in the class. Always helping,
supporting each other.
As the days and weeks, and finally months went on, many dropped
out. There were injuries and setbacks, but the core of the class stayed on.
There was a woman who injured herself after the ten miler, who vowed to
stay on unselfishly and volunteered many Sundays cheering us, setting up aid
stations, and always, with a big smile and good will. There was John and
Pam, our leaders, asking how we were doing, encouraging us, greeting us
with smiles on our returns. And mostly, there was the inner determination to
strive to finish.
As I came over the ridge of the Higgins Street bridge on Sunday, six
and a half hours after I had started in the dark and chill, a wave of emotion
filled my eyes and, seeing the finish line, hearing my name being called, and
seeing the faces cheering me on, I knew I had made it, but not alone. I carried
the hopes and dreams of many over those 26.2 miles, and they carried me too.
More than they can know.

Marathon Inspiration If you haven’t figured it out by now, I’m the kind of person who will remind
you every day the week before my birthday that my birthday is coming. If
you are in my circle of friends and there is something big going on my life,
you’ll know about it. Let’s be honest you don’t really have to be in any circle
of friends to know what’s happening in my life and the goings on don’t
actually have to be that big. I’ll tell you, whether you want to know or not,
20
and in detail, what’s up. And I will happily listen if you need to share too.
Really, it’s the least I can do. As a good friend once put it, there is no such thing
as too much information, going or coming.
Now my husband and my wifey are a different breed. It is a fact that
Seth never really puts his journalism degree to work because he doesn’t feel
like asking personal information of other people is any of his business. After
nearly 10 years together I’ve decided that’s fine because I ask enough questions,
stare at enough people in restaurants and eavesdrop enough for the both of us.
As for my wifey, well, she’s the kind of person Seth calls a quiet
badass. She’s a doer, not a talker. Me, I’m both. My wifey can do something
totally amazing like run the Missoula Marathon last weekend and pretty much
never say a word about it. I’m not sure what amazes me more, her get-up-and-
go or her ability to be so humble. When I saw her round the bend 22 miles I was
so excited for, knowing she was almost there and knowing how good she’d feel
when it was all over. I ran with her the last four miles and kept yammering on
about how inspiring she was. When she turned toward the Higgins Bridge she
was singing Journey to the top of her lungs and hadn’t heard a word I’d said. I
was so excited to see her finish. She will not toot her own horn, so I’m here to
do it. She rocked the marathon. And she wasn’t the only one.
I ran the marathon last year and, of course, talked about it all the time.
At the time I didn’t think I had something to prove but looking back I know I
did. I needed to know my body, after a bout a year earlier with meningitis, was
okay. That I was okay. I trained, I talked about it. I ran, I talked about it. It was
over, I still talked about it. Finally, somewhere around October, I gave it a rest
and moved on to talking about something else.
This year I didn’t run the race, I handed out water at the eight mile
mark instead. And guess what? Now I’m going to talk about that.
We gathered early and watched in the distance for the first runners to
approach. When the leaders came by at lightning speed, I was impressed. But it
was the herd of determined runners that came after that inspired me most.
They may not have had the God-given talent to run a two and a half hour
marathon but they were out there still in the early morning putting one foot in
front of the other. After all the runners passed our water station, we
packed it up and went to a friend’s house to watch the marathoners pass the 22-
mile mark. At one point, as my friend Chris and I stood in the street cheering
on passing runners, I realized I was getting choked up.
‚All I can say is good job, keep going,‛ I said to him. ‚If I try to say
anything else I start crying.‛ He just gave me a knowing nod.
That was about the time another friend blew by just ahead of the 3:30
pacer. I started jumping up and down. This woman, who would finish her race
in 3:26, brought the tears I’d been trying to fight back all morning. She has
two young children, a job and I’m sure not enough hours in the day. But, still,
she was out running. When I saw her run past so fast and strong I felt like she
was doing it for all of us in a similar and I still can’t think about it without
crying.
I rarely cry at movies, I rarely cry when things don’t work out but put
me on a marathon course at mile 22 watching people give everything they’ve
got and I turn into a fountain. When I saw my wifey run toward 22 miles I
wasn’t crying though, I was smiling because she was almost there. Between
Eminem tracks on her iPod I tried my best to tell her stories, clue her into little
pieces of gossip that might carry her one more mile. She ran. She sang. She
didn’t talk much. She willed her legs to keep moving. I talked and talked
because she asked me to. I’m not sure if she heard anything I said, if she heard
me tell her how impressive she is, what an amazing mama she is or that
21
because of this race and so many other reason her girls have a strong mama to
look up to. I don’t know if she heard me tell she’s hot stuff or that what she
did was a huge accomplishment. I don’t know if she heard me say that other
mamas will do this because of women like her.
I don’t know if she heard any of these things but I do know this,
watching my wifey and all those other runners Sunday renewed my wilted
sense of inspiration. It pulled me out of a fog of work.

Run Wild Missoula News
Letter from the Executive Director: Making Running Part of Your
Life Many of you ran the Missoula Marathon, Half Marathon and Relay—and for a
lot of you it was the longest you had ever run. Congratulations on your
accomplishment! I hear from a lot of members that finishing a marathon or
half marathon was a bucket list item that you thought you would do once, but
because of the fun and friendships made through the training process and the
euphoria felt after your accomplishments, you want to keep running or
walking. That’s great to hear!
If you were in the training class you may have made lifetime
friendships. If you finished the Missoula Marathon you want to set a goal for a
longer distance or improve your time. But how do you keep going and how do
you make running part of your healthy lifestyle? Well, that’s why Run Wild
Missoula is here. Your $25 membership fee can go a long way if you stay in
touch with us and attend group runs on Saturdays at 8 a.m. at the Runner’s
Edge, Tuesday Track workouts at 6 p.m. at Dornblaser, monthly Beer Runs,
monthly Back of the Pack runs and other events. Check the monthly
newsletter and the web site for upcoming events.
Setting a goal is also a great way to keep running. It’s a good idea to
set your goal even before you finish your previous goal so you don’t take too
much time off and get out of shape. Summertime when we are vacationing
with family and friends can be a difficult time to keep training. (Read my blog
on www.makeitmissoula.com about how to keep running while you are on
vacation.) Registering for an upcoming race like the River City Roots 4-Mile
Run, the Sweathouse Half Marathon or the Missoula Mile is a great way to
stay motivated to maintain your fitness. Even setting a time to run with
friends a few times a week is a great goal and one that will keep you fit and
healthy.
Good luck with your next goal and have fun out there.
Warmly,
~Eva Dunn-Froebig

running or walking into their daily lives. Run Wild Missoula organized four
group runs at noon last year on Friday, September 17 at different locations—
the Federal Building, the University of Montana, Missoula Community
Medical Center and the YMCA. Missoula Community Medical Center’s run,
under the leadership of Mike Wilson, had the biggest turnout with about 40
runners.
Run Wild Missoula wants to make Run@Work Day on Friday,
September 16 at noon, even bigger and better this year. We already have two
group runs planned and hope to have more than last year. If you are
interested in leading a run from your workplace please contact Eva Dunn-
Froebig at [email protected] or 544-3150 and we will give you some
tips about leading a group run and will include your event on Run Wild
Missoula’s web site.

held at MOVE Missoula, 1900 Broadway, C (Mon. & Thurs. classes) and the Runner’s Edge, 325 N.
Higgins Ave. (Wed. class). Mats provided, comfortable clothing recommended, running shoes not
