ERRATAADD:SLAYING THE BEAST: If the Kraken is ever KO’d, reduce all player’s Kraken Pools to 0 (Kraken Pools can still be raised after this, but the Kraken will not return!).

GENERAL FAQQ: Is there a limit to the Kraken Pool?A: Yes. 10 per player, as outlined on the Tracker Dashboard.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of models that can be in a zone?A: No.

Q: Can I Upgrade Skills after my Hero has performed their third action, but before their activation ends?A: Yes.

Q: Can I play Tide Cards with a Kraken Symbol if my Kraken Pool is maxed?A: Yes. Raising your Kraken Pool is not a cost, just an effect that happens when Tide Cards are used.

Q: In regards to the Sea Dragon, what happens at the end of the round if it is occupying a space where a Gangplank would be returned?A: The Gangplank will only be returned at the end of a round in which the space is empty (i.e. the Sea Dragon is not in that zone!)

Q: Can KO’d/Overboard Heroes be targeted by Hero Skills?A: Each Skill specifically lists what it can/cannot affect/target (example: “deployed enemy Hero”). If it does not list a restriction, then any Hero may be targeted.

Q: Can KO’d Heroes be damaged?A: No. While there are situations where they can be targeted, KO’d Heroes cannot receive damage. The only exception to this is when the Kraken is summoned. His effect will damage all Heroes on the team with the Highest Kraken Pool, regardless of location or state- such is its wrath!

Q: Is there a limit to how far I can attempt to Rig/Can I attempt to Rig further than I can succeed (Seven zones, for example)?A: You may declare a Rig to any legal zone, even if you cannot actually roll that high (seven zones away, for example), though this would most likely cause you to fall Overboard (which can be a tactical choice).

Q: Can I Rig to a Gangplank or other parts of my own ship?A: No. Rigging must be to a zone on another ship.

Q: Can Crew stand on enemy Deck Features?A: Yes. Any model may stand on any Deck Feature. If the Crew attack, they may also target that Deck Feature.

Q: Follow-Up Question: Can models target that zone with Attacks then, since it now contains friendly models?A: Yes. They will ignore the Crew (and any friendly Heroes in that zone) and target the feature directly.

Q: Can a Hero have multiples of the same Condition Token?A: No. A Hero either has a Condition or it doesn’t.

Q: Help! The Sea Dragon is dealing my Hero 10+ damage and I can’t stop it!A: Not really a question! But please note that the Sea Dragon’s Devouring Maw is not a Basic Attack, and therefore can only be used once per activation.

Q: The rulebook calls Sea Monsters Objectives, but also states that KO’ing a Sea Monster works exactly like KO’ing a Hero. When I KO a Sea Monster, what exactly happens?A: It functions just like KO’ing an enemy Hero: If a Hero KO’d it, they will receive 3 Coin and their team will gain 1 VP. If it was KO’ed by some other method then all your Heroes gain 1 Coin and you gain 1 VP.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of Tide Cards a player can have at any time?A: No.

Q: If an effect allows a Hero to move up to X zones, can they Rig as part of that move, or can they rig only during a Move Action?A: Rigging may be done anytime a Hero moves, as long as they are in a legal Rigging Zone and have the required 1 zone of movement they would normally need to Rig.

FACTION-SPECIFIC FAQ

Deep LordsQ: Many Deep Lords Skills say “Increase Your Kraken Pool by X: <Effect>”. Is this optional?A: Yes. Each of these effects is an optional trigger that you may use in addition to the rest of the Skill.

Q: Can I use a Skill that says “Increase Your Kraken Pool by X” if my Kraken Pool is maxed?A: No. Raising your Kraken Pool is a cost to gain the benefit. If you cannot pay the cost you cannot use the effect.

Q: Does the Tide Card “Seal of Davy Jones” prevent the 3 damage when the Kraken is summoned?A: No. That damage happens when the Kraken is summoned. Seal of Davy Jones only prevents damage during the Kraken’s activation.

Marea De La MuerteQ: Can Captain Vianna’s Tariff passive target KO’d/Overboard Heroes?A: Yes. As stated in the General section, unless a Skill specifies “deployed/overboard/KO’d Heroes” then it can target anyone.

Q: El Latigo’s Try Harder skill says it can be used as a Basic Attack. Does this mean I can use it multiple times per activation?A: Yes.
