Rules, Routines,Supplies and Pet Peeves

EARTH SCIENCE

Routines Come to class prepared- you must have

paper and pens/pencils everyday. A “starter” is on the board when you

come in. Complete it immediately. It must be answered in a complete sentence.

All papers need to have name, date and period.

You will have an assigned seat all year. Be in it when the bell rings.

Routines Make up work is YOUR responsibility. Missed labs must be made up immediately. Any

copying will result in a zero for the assignment for both parties!!

Most missed labs and tests will require the student to come in before or after school.

Late work is any work that is not ready to be turned in when you walk in the door. If you do not have an assignment you can turn it in for up to 24 hours late at 50% off.

I dismiss the class, not the bell. Stay in your seat until you are dismissed .

Rules No cell phones!!! I will take up any cell phone I

see or hear. I decide when cell phones and Ipads are used in class.

Do your own work on all assignments. Be considerate and respectful to the other

members of your group/your class. Detentions will be assigned to any student who a.  misbehaves for a substitute. b.  does not show up to the appointed place for

fire drills.

Materials needed Three Ring Binder with dividers Scientific Calculator Daily materials (pen, pencil,

paper)

* A set of colored pencils will be needed at home

Pet Peeves Talking when I am talking Packing up early Not having the starter completed Doing other schoolwork in my class

(will be taken up) Trying to sleep in my class (will earn

you a detention) Disrespect of any kind
