1. REGISTRATION OF INSTITUTIONAL TRAINEES/SKILLED WORKERS

1.1 ELIGIBILITY

All full time trainees of an “institute” affiliated with the National Training

Bureau, attending G-I or G-II or G-III or any short duration courses or any other

level course shall be eligible to be registered with National Training Bureau.

The skilled workers from informal sectors and workers acquiring their Knowledge

& Skill through Ustad – Shagird System or through parent’s occupation or any

other means having 3 to 7 years experience in the relevant trade shall also

eligible to be registered with the National Training Bureau.

1.2 RULES FOR REGISTRATION OF INSTITUTIONAL TRAINEES.

1.2.1 Candidate attending full time courses in the “institutes” affiliated with National

Training Bureau must be required to get them registered with National Training

Bureau immediately after admission. If the institute fails to do so, their trainees

shall not be allowed to appear in the examination. The institute shall ensure the

following:

Candidate shall not be required to be registered again for appearing in the

examination/trade test in case he/she failed or absented in the previous

examination/trade test. He/she shall be eligible to avail the registration for

three consecutive chances.

Candidate appearing in any other level or trade shall require to be

registered again from the National Training Bureau.

Candidate shall not be eligible to be registered in two different

trades/courses at the same time. However, this condition may be relaxed

for Morning and Evening courses.

Candidate shall submit registration form in time with complete and correct

information supported with the attested copies of testimonials. He/she

shall also deposit the prescribed fee along with the registration form as

prescribed by the National Training Bureau.

Registration form shall not be accepted bearing cutting, erasing and over

writing.

Registration of candidate may be cancelled at any time in case of

incomplete or forged documentation.

Registration of a candidate shall be treated as cancelled when he/she is

debarred for the examination/trade test.

Registration Rules for High Tech courses and other professional

programmes shall be same as for institutional trainees.

The Head of institute will maintain original record of its trainees and

submit data of trainees with relevant record to National Training Bureau

for registration.

The Director General, National Training Bureau is the final authority to

take decision in all matters and cannot be challenged in any court of law.

1.3. RULES FOR REGISTRATION OF SKILLED WORKERS OF INFORMAL SECTOR: -

1.3.1 In order to be eligible for registration for G-III level test the candidate shall have

3-7 years on the job experience in any shop/industry/organization/ market/

workplace in the relevant field. Rests of the rules are same as for institutional

trainees.

2.3.1 For registration to G-II level, the candidate shall have qualified G-III level and

should have at least 3 years subsequent on the job experience.

3.3.1 For registration to G-I level; the candidate shall have qualified G-II level and

should have 5 years of subsequent on job experience.

4.3.1 Eligibility criteria for testing and certification of skilled workers shall be

determined by the National Training Bureau for each trade/course

2.1 ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR IN THE TRADE TEST – (INSTITUTIONAL TRAINEES & SKILLED WORKERS)

All registered candidates are eligible to appear in the examination after termination of

their schedule training programme or attaining the required length of experience provided

that:

2.1.1 He/She submits the examination form in time, along with prescribed fee and

forwarded by the Principal of the concerned institute (only for institutional

trainees) to the National Training Bureau.

2.1.2 The examination / admission form should have latest and clear passport size

photographs affixed on the spaces provided in the form duly attested by the

Principal/BPS-17 officer.

2.1.3 To be eligible to appear in any level examination/trade test a candidate of an

institution shall have completed the required course.

2.1.4 40% marks in Test of Knowledge & 60% marks in test of Skills during training

period are pre-requisite to appear in the examination. The record of these marks

will be maintained by the respective trade incharge which will be presented if

required.

2.1.5 The candidate of institutional training system must have 90% attendance of the

total training programme. Principal may, however, condone shortage of

attendance up to 5% on medical ground or for other cogent reasons to his/her

satisfaction.

2.1.6 Director General National Training Bureau may reject/cancel/with hold any

examination/admission form for any reason.
