THE PARMINTER DOG TRAINING AREA This area is open to Quail Forever Mid-South Chapter members whose membership is current and who either: a) contribute at least 8 total hours of labor during the operational year (10/1 - 9/30) at this Training Area, the YHEC, the Sporting Clays fundraiser and/or the Youth Hunt or b) make at least a $150 donation to the Chapter The above labor and donation requirements are waived for all first time QF MS Chapter members during their first year of membership. THE RULES 1. Close and lock the gate upon both entering & leaving. Do not share the lock’s combination with anyone. Only the Board may issue the lock code number to users. 2. When locking the gate, be sure to spin the tumblers so that the code is not showing. 3. Sign the logbook in the mailbox when you arrive and sign out when you leave, recording all of your activities and observations in the book each time you visit the area. Please print legibly . 4. Birds may be brought to the area, released into the Pen Raised Shooting Area, and shot during the course of dog training. But this training area is not to be used as a substitute for a commercial shooting preserve. 5. Our wild & early released Quail are never to be shot, even during dog training. 6. The Pen Raised Shooting Area is defined as the cross-hatch mowed area directly north of Johnny House #1. Birds may be planted outside of this area for dog work but no Quail are to ever be shot beyond the boundaries of this field. See the map below or ask if there is any confusion as to the boundaries of this area. 7. All birds brought to the area should be acquired from TWRA permitted sources. 8. Member’s guests and their dogs are always welcome provided that they are accompanied on the property by a member at all times. Any improper actions by guests are considered to be actions of the member. Please sign in your guests.

9. The use of ATVs is permitted for dog training and property management purposes. Every effort must be made to prevent soil erosion. No joy riding!

10. Do not cross any fences or allow your dog(s) to remain on adjacent private property.11. Target practice or other unnecessary discharging of firearms on this area is prohibited. Predator

hunting with shotguns & rim fire weapons is allowed and encouraged. The use or discharge of center fire rifles or muzzleloaders is expressly prohibited.

12. Bow hunting for deer and other game in season is allowed and encouraged. 13. Please take your trash with you when you leave and take any left by others.14. Special events such as fun trials, field trials, hunt tests, youth hunts etc. by any organization other

than MSQF #3149 must have prior Board approval and adequate insurance. A monetary contribution to the MS Chapter is expected.

15. The Johnny Houses are maintained by a separate sub-group of members of this Training Area. Please contact them for more info on using the JH birds. JH labor does not count toward annual access hours worked.

FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN YOUR BEING PERMANENTLY BARRED FROM USING THESE GROUNDS.
