One was a complaint oi a parlicipant in last years, fertilizer contest, that he 0ughl lo have a certificate, when as a matter of hct the committee (Dr. Smalley) reported there would bc no certificMes issued because of the un= satisfactory resMts. The Governing committee sus- lained this action of the Cooperative Program Com- mittee. The second matter was that of incorporat- ing the society which .was suggested by Dr, Vv~esson. This was cohsklered by the committee and they voted in favor of such action and it witi be taken up later in the convention. Third uas authorizing the secretary-treasurer to dmrge off $1e.oe of nncollectible bad debts, which has been done. One other item was fixing the amount I. be charged for i:he issuance of certificates 10 referee chemists. This involves some !iitIe ex= pens< tugraving the certificates and correspondence, and the L.cs have been fixed at $2.0o for individuals and $5.0o ior corporations. RILEY ON INTERSTATE BOARD By vote of the executive committee. R. G. Riley of Albany, Ga, has been made Director of the Interstate Cotton Seed Crushers' Association for the State of Georgia, to take the place of Harry Hodgson of Athens, who was elected to that position at the annual convention, but was subsequently appointed a member of the executive committee, by virtue of which he be- came an exofficio member of the board of directors. In order to give Georgia the additional represen- tation on the board to which it is entitled, Mr. Hodgson resigned as Georgia's director. Mr. Riiey's election is appropriate as he is also president of the Cotton Seed Crushers' Association of Georgia.
