• 1/3 from top, bottom, sides when determine best placement trees, sculpture, etc.

• the art work you are placing in the garden should encompass about one-third of the scene you are creating and be placed in one of these prime spots.

• all of the rectangular spaces relate to one another in a 1:3 or 2:3 ratio – the lawn area is 2/3 the width of the property, the dining area is 2/3 the width of the lawn and the seating area is 2/3 the width of the dining area.
