The operating principle• Water is pumped

through a pump shaft into a filling shaft which is linked via a pipe as a “communicating container” with the fill and control shaft.

• For air-inflated system the operating medium is air which is controlled by an blower with regulation valves.

The threefold safety system

• A hand-operated sluice valve in drain shaft

• For water filled systems overflow section in control shaft; when upper water level rises, fill water is forced out of the tube over the overflow section and the rubber dam deflates automatically

• Emergency discharge by gravity drive through the drain or deflation valve.

Power failure / Safe solution

• Also in such a case security against flooding is given, to hold or to lower the reservoir level no power supply is needed

• Just the automatic level-control is off during this time

• As soon as power comes back, the filling pump or air blower will be activated and the head water level comes under automatic control again.
