Greatly affecting the high speed performance of your roller is the condition of the roller core. At ContactRubber, we thoroughly check every core before we begin the recovery process. Our machine shop is fullyequipped to handle any necessary core repairs from single shaft repair to complete core fabrication.
To meet the varied needs of our customers, our sales engineers offer technical “Know-How” to helpyou make the best choice of a covering to meet your specific application requirements. Our advancedin-house machine shop, combined with modern computerized production equipment allows us to giveyou the highest quality rollers – quickly and economically.
Available Grooving PatternsDiamond Pattern – Minimizes hydroplaning andprovides better griping for feed rolls.
Helical Pattern – Proper combinations of grooveangle along with land and groove width enhancethe grinding or sanding ability of wide coatedabrasive belt machines. (45° and 15° shown.)
Plain Face – Plain grind texture or satin smoothfinish used for a multitude of purposes.
Serr-X Serration Pattern – provides abrasive beltcutting action and conformability.
90-Degree Fluted Groove Pattern – For conveyorbelt drive. Helps keep the belt clean. Can also beused in scraping unwanted material from substrates.
Chevron Pattern – Good pulling action. Helps keepconveyor belt tracking properly. Smooths outwrinkles in continuous webs.

Our roll covering materials are formulated to be resistant to ozone, heat, and extreme abrasion…and our compounds are tailored to meet exacting specifications. Roll coverings are available in a wide range of hardnesses,from 20 through 100 Duro.
