How to check the ODU hardware version?

Answer:

Use Navigator to execute command : cfg-get-bdversion:Bid

Example: :cfg-get-bdversion:18

BOARD-VERSION

BID BD-TYPE RVER DVER HVER ONLINE-FLAG BDVER-TIME

18 odu 0x01 0x0a 0x0004 online 2009-05-13 11:00:00

Total records :1

RVER means main version, DVER means sub version,

HVER means hardware version

So this ODU software version is 1.10,hardware version is 0x0004

There is LICENSE_LOST alarm when the SCC version is upgraded from R1 to R2/R3

Answer: There is no license control in R1 version. and R2/R3 add

this function. So we need to load the license again when the SCC

version is upgraded from R1 to R2/R3.

It doesn’t not need to load the license again if the current version is

already R2/R3

There is NO_BD_SOFT alarm in IF1A(IF1B)card when the SCC board is upgraded from R1 to R2/R3

Reason:

For R1 version, the SCC board only support one FPGA file,R2/R3

support 2 FPGA file. If the second FPGA is not loaded, there will be

NO_BD_SOFT alarm

Solution: We need to load the load the second FPGA file if1p.pga to

IF1A(IF1B) card

Remark: The board will be reset when the FGPA file is activated, the

service will be down

How to calculate the TDM license?

Example:

One RTN620 NE has 2 direction, one direction is 1+1 protection, work

mode is 16E1 、 16 QAM ， the other direction is 1+0,work mod is 4E1、QPSK

If the link is 1+1 protection (HSB/FD/SD), the license should be doubled

so the license should be 2×16E1 ＋ 4E1=36E1 at least.

Huawei RTN license have 8E1 、 16E1 、 32E1 、 48E1 、 64E1 、 128E1 、

MAX

type.

So 48E1 license should be loaded in this NE

Does Hybrid support 1+1 Protection(HSB/FD/SD)?

Answer: Yes

Remark:

There is no data cross connection platform in RTN600,so EMS6

board is needed to realize the 1+1 Protection.
