In light of all the human drama in the world, this series of presentations promises to be an exceptional opportunity to pull back the veil hiding the facts behind the pain and suffering, and reveal what’s really going on according to Bible prophecy. The purpose of Revelation Today is to stir interest among people, enable you to make new friends for Jesus, and open the door for follow-up Bible studies. As a host site, you are now an official partner in ministry with It Is Written. Welcome aboard! The 14 Easy Steps to Facilitate a Successful Revelation Today Series at Your Host Site

1. Decide to be a Revelation Today host. This could be a once-in-a-lifetime

opportunity to connect with someone God has prepared to join your church or Bible study group. And with the resources of a large, international evangelistic ministry like It Is Written behind you, you’ll be equipped for success. When you decide to be a Revelation Today host, you’re saying, like the prophet Isaiah, “Here I am. Send me!” This simple act of making yourself available to God opens the door wide for His blessings in your endeavor.

2. Pray. As you begin this exciting journey, your prayer life will ensure His

ongoing guidance as you prepare for, host and follow up Revelation Today.

While we are to labor earnestly for the salvation of the lost, we must also take time for meditation, for prayer, and for the study of the Word of God. Only the work accomplished with much prayer, and sanctified by the merit of Christ, will in the end prove to have been efficient for good. (The Desire of Ages, p. 362)

3. Invite others to join you in this ministry. Even though you’ll be

provided with the resources you’ll need to host Revelation Today by yourself, you’ll be far more effective with a team. We know that Jesus organized His followers into pairs and the Apostle Paul had traveling companions on his missionary journeys. Working as a team will make your journey easier and more encouraging.

4. Determine a budget. Revelation Today offers a lot of flexibility. If your

personal budget or the church’s budget doesn’t allow you to spend any money to do Revelation Today, no problem. You can certainly show these Internet/satellite videos to friends and neighbors without spending a dime.

However, investing in this event will help you be more effective. Here are some things that you might want to consider as you prepare your Revelation Today budget: • Refreshments • Advertising (handbills, posters, mailings, etc.) • Materials to give away to your guests • Hall rental (if necessary)

5. Choose a location. The most important factor in choosing a location is that

it must have a good, reliable Internet connection, or access to the satellite feed. Beyond that, your host site can be anywhere: your church (sanctuary, conference room, or a Sabbath School room), a community hall, your home

(living room, kitchen, or study), your workplace (an office or waiting room), a dorm room, etc. The size of the host site really depends on how many guests you anticipate having. Revelation Today will be perfect for both small and larger audiences.

6. Choose a time to show Revelation Today. Select which option below is

going to be best for your time.

In addition to the streaming option, a complete video QuickTime file (MP4) of the morning session will be posted online and available for downloading by 10 a.m. Pacific the next morning. By downloading this file, you have the option of showing the program at your preferred time. DOWNLOADABLE FILE AVAILABLE THE FOLLOWING DAY AT 1 p.m. Eastern 12 p.m. Central 11 a.m. Mountain 10 a.m. Pacific A third option is to access the video through satellite feed. Revelation Today will be carried on 3ABN. Airtimes will be: 3ABN Airtimes (Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday Evenings) 7 p.m. & 11 p.m. Eastern 6 p.m. & 10 p.m. Central 5 p.m. & 9 p.m. Mountain 4 p.m. & 8 p.m. Pacific So, choose a time that works best for you and your guests.

7. Make a list of people you would like to invite. By far, the most effective

way of getting people to attend Revelation Today at your host site is to invite them personally. So, in preparation for the invitation, make a list of people you would like to invite. Here are some suggestions of individuals to place on your list: friends, family members, co-workers, neighbors, business associates, etc.

8. Pray for the people on your list. Before rushing out to invite people to

Revelation Today, spend several days specifically praying for them. Pray that

God will soften their hearts, and pray that God will give you just the right opportunity to invite them.

Begin to pray for souls; come near to Christ, close to His bleeding side. Let a meek and quiet spirit adorn your lives, and let your earnest, broken, humble petitions ascend to Him for wisdom that you may have success in saving not only your own soul, but the souls of others. (Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 1, p. 513)

9. Advertise Revelation Today in your community. How you choose to

advertise Revelation Today in your community really depends on your budget. On the host website you will find the following advertising resources (if they’re not up currently, they will be in the coming days): • Templates with beautiful Revelation Today graphics so that you can print

your own flyers and posters. • Announcements that you can print in your church bulletin and on your

website. • A press release that you can submit to your local paper, post on your

website, and send out via e-mail. • Templates for different size newspaper ads. • 30 and 60 second radio spots. (All these need a short voiceover with your

local information: time, location, etc.) • 60 and 90 second television spots. (These spots will need a graphic slate

that includes your local information added.) • Website banners that you can use to e-mail to your friends or even place

on your Facebook page. If your budget permits it, you may contact Color Press at (509) 525-6030 to print your handbills and mail them to your specified zip code(s). Get your order in early to receive the best discount.

10. Invite people to attend Revelation Today. Within the two to four weeks

before Revelation Today (October 11, 2013) is the best time to invite people on your list. As God opens the door, boldly invite people to attend Revelation Today at your host site. As you invite people to the event, please remember the following principles: • Don’t pressure; just invite. • Don’t make people feel obligated. • Do emphasize the value you see in Revelation Today. • Trust that God will do His part in their lives.

If someone declines to attend, don’t take it personally or make a big deal out of it. They’re not rejecting you. It’s just not the right time for them. There will be other opportunities in the future. When you invite people personally, you will be pleasantly amazed at how many will actually come.

11. Prepare to host the meetings. Before October 11, 2013, make sure to go over the following checklist. Make sure: ! Host site location is set and ready. ! You can access, without problem, the video feed. If you’re using the live

streaming option, confirm that your Internet access is working properly. We recommend that you visit www.ustream.tv and click on one of the videos. If you can watch videos on that website, then your connection is probably fast enough. In addition, prior to opening night we will be doing a LIVE global test of our streaming system. That will also be a good time for you to do a final test of your own Internet system. Check the host website for specific times and additional technical info in the weeks before the event.

! Your screen saver has been turned off if you are hosting via the Internet. That way the screen saver won’t start up in the middle of the program (though if it does happen, just wiggle the mouse to wake it back up.)

! Guests have been invited. ! Refreshments have been arranged. ! Revelation Today, Understanding Hell and/or The Mystery of Death

books have been ordered as gifts for your guests, if desired (ordering info will be on the host website very soon.)

! Decision cards are printed. Ron Halvorsen will have a number of appeals during Revelation Today that will require decision cards. Those cards can be downloaded from the host website and printed from your computer.

! Daily handouts are printed. At the end of all presentations, every guest will receive a handout summary of the presentation they’ve just heard. That handout can also be found on the host website. Once again, all you need to do is to download and print.

12. Host Revelation Today. October 11, 2013, has finally arrived and time has

come to host Revelation Today. At this point, all you have to do is push the “play” button and enjoy a powerful hour-and-a-half program that will include inspiring music and an eye-opening presentation by Ron Halvorsen.

How you organize your host site meeting is up to you. However, here is a suggested format: • Make sure the guests are at your host site at least 15 minutes before the

start of the presentation. This will give you time to mingle and fellowship

before the actual presentation begins. An incentive to have your guests arrive on time (early) is to provide some refreshments to be offered only before the meeting begins.

• Watch the whole program alongside your guests. • At the end of Ron Halvorsen’s sermon, distribute the decision card (if

called for) and the daily handout. • Go over the thought questions that are included in the daily handout. This

will help your guests process what they have just heard. 13. Follow up with your guests. After Revelation Today is over, many of your

guests will be interested in continuing Bible studies. We suggest using the brand new It Is Written Bible study set in a small group format. Meeting weekly, go through a Bible study lesson at a time. The It Is Written Bible study series is an excellent way to prepare people for baptism.

14. Get ready to conduct your own evangelistic series. Evangelism is not

an event but a journey. Revelation Today is but a part of that journey, along with making friends for Jesus and doing small group Bible studies. What we have discovered is that doing another set of evangelistic meetings a few months later, as part of the journey, can be highly effective in leading even more people to Jesus. We suggest you use the New Beginnings series which includes slides and scripts and can easily be done by anyone.

Frequently Asked Questions For Host Sites

Who can host these meetings? Anyone! You’re invited to host it in your home, church or place of business. All hosts will be able to download item from host kit containing all you need to make this series a success. How long will the meetings last? Four weeks. The series will take place October 11 – November 9, 2013, (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday), and each program will last approximately one-and-a-half hours. Who will be presenting the nightly messages? Ron Halvorsen, an It Is Written Evangelist, will be hosting this series. Learn more about Ron Halvorsen at www.itiswritten.com. How will these meetings be broadcast? You may access the video for this series one of three ways: 1) Live streaming: Each program will stream live at 4 p.m. & 8 p.m. Pacific time (7 p.m. & 11 p.m. Eastern). 2) Download: Each program will be available for download around 7 p.m. Pacific (10 p.m. Eastern) that same day. About Evangelist Ron Halvorsen Revelation Today Speaker Ron Halvorsen Sr. has a broad understanding of Biblical prophecy, having studied it extensively and traveled around the world to research this subject. He has spent decades as a teacher, pastor and author. In meetings worldwide, he has presented passionate, captivating presentations on prophecy. He is a powerful speaker and prayer coordinator for It Is Written, and has inspired crowds around the world with Bible-based messages of hope.

About Pastor John Bradshaw On Jan. 1, 2011, Pastor John Bradshaw became the fourth speaker/director of the international It Is Written ministry.

Pastor Bradshaw’s experience makes him uniquely suited for the role of speaker/director. His broadcasting career began in his home country of New Zealand, where he worked as a disc jockey on a number of the nation’s top radio stations. He left this job in 1990—and his life was changed when he gave his heart to Christ and made a decision for baptism.

He met his soon-to-be-wife, Melissa, at church, and after their wedding, he began working as an evangelist for Amazing Facts. After 12 years, the family—which now included a son and daughter—decided to put down roots. In the years that followed, Pastor Bradshaw pastored a church in Lexington, Kentucky, followed by the Village Church near Walla Walla University in Washington.

During his 15 years of pastoral ministry, Pastor Bradshaw has held more than 80 evangelistic series. For him, nothing matches the joy of introducing others to Christ.
