International Conference on Block Chain Technology where we brought many industry leaders to discuss and share their views, opinions and suggestions about the various opportunities and challenges of Block Chain Tech- nology. It was interesting to note that the Block Chain Technology can be used in various applications. In the current industrial scenario Industry 4.0 is expected to get implemented in all sectors of the engineering industry. In this conference we discussed in detail about the requirements of supply chain management sector, the benefits the Block Chain Technology can offer for this sector, the numerous benefits the industry is likely to get by implementing SCM with Block Chain properly in this sector. Some of the major benefits we identified were Lead time optimisation, inventory reduction, optimum cost for logistics, easy traceability of the numerous critical components movements, monitoring the progress of the work orders given to the suppliers and their current status etc. Using Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things the Block Chain Technology can offer various other benefits to many sectors of the industry. Machines and Product will communicate with each other in Industry 4.0 scenario through Internet. Various types of manufac- turing data is getting in to the manufacturing system and using AI and IoT, we can analyse, segregate and make use of the data provided the data is perfectly correct and not tampered. IEI Centenary Celebration

Dear Friends,

Immediately after our 100th year inauguration celebration we had two very important activities.

1. International Conference on Block Chain Technology where we brought many industry leaders to discuss and

share their views, opinions and suggestions about the various opportunities and challenges of Block Chain Tech-

nology. It was interesting to note that the Block Chain Technology can be used in various applications. In the

current industrial scenario Industry 4.0 is expected to get implemented in all sectors of the engineering industry.

In this conference we discussed in detail about the requirements of supply chain management sector, the benefits

the Block Chain Technology can offer for this sector, the numerous benefits the industry is likely to get by

implementing SCM with Block Chain properly in this sector. Some of the major benefits we identified were Lead

time optimisation, inventory reduction, optimum cost for logistics, easy traceability of the numerous critical components movements,

monitoring the progress of the work orders given to the suppliers and their current status etc.

Using Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things the Block Chain Technology can offer various other benefits to many sectors of the

industry. Machines and Product will communicate with each other in Industry 4.0 scenario through Internet. Various types of manufac-

turing data is getting in to the manufacturing system and using AI and IoT, we can analyse, segregate and make use of the data provided

the data is perfectly correct and not tampered. For this Block Chain Technology will be great useful.

Constant update and continued learning will help us to keep ourself ahead of our competition. I am very happy and proud to note that

many industry leaders and good participants attended this International conference.
