Hachette Book Group USA Selects RR DonnelleyFor Multi-Year Production Contract
NEW YORK and CHICAGO - December 19, 2007 - Hachette Book Group USA, a leading U.S. trade publisher, has announced it has signed an agreement with RR Donnelley (NYSE: RRD) for a new multi-year contract to produce its one color hardcover and softcover trade books beginning in January 2008. The agreement expands RR Donnelley’s global relationship with Hachette Livre, the second largest publisher in the world.
Hachette Book Group USA’s well-known imprints include Little, Brown and Company and Grand Central Publishing. HBG annually publishes approximately 450 adult books, 150 young adult and children's books, and 60 audio book titles. In 2006, the company had a record 71 books on the New York Times bestseller list, with 17 of them ranked #1.
