Winemakers across Napa Valley reported another stellar harvest for 2016. Bud break began early due to a warm spring, and the summer then brought moderate daytime temperatures with cool evenings. Harvest started early, in mid-August, and progressed at a steady pace. October ushered in a few rain showers that put a swift end to a successful harvest.

A portion of our 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from our Heide Ranch vineyard, one of the latest additions to our impressive vineyard portfolio. Located in the eastern part of the Napa Valley Appellation, this region produces exceptional ripe fruit, giving our Cabernet Sauvignon the bold and rich f lavors that aficionados everywhere have grown to love.

This is a wine to be savored with hearty fare like grilled meats, chops and strong cheeses such as bleu and camembert.

WINE DESCRIPTION

AROMAS & FLAVORS: Ripe currant, fresh Bing cherry, dark plum, with a hint of sage. Full-bodied with soft tannins, a velvety mouthfeel and a long, lingering finish.

BLEND: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Malbec, 4% Merlot, 3% Petite Sirah, 1% Petit Verdot

AGING: Over 12 months in French and American oak
