    HIP HOP DANCE COMPETITION-RULES & REGULATIONS

    RPresenting to DA Fullest is a HIP HOP Dance Competition proudly brought to you byRepublicPolytechnics, The Republic Cultural Centre and Republic Polytechnics HIP HOPInterest Group, StyleGroovaz Crew. Allparticipants for the competition are to strictly adhere to the following rules andregulations.

    COMPETITION DATE, TIME & VENUE

    06 May 2013, Monday5.30pmRepublic Polytechnic, South Agora

    ELIGIBILITY

    This competition is opened to all Singaporeans and Permanent Residents asstipulated.REQUIREMENTS

    The competition format is group based only. Each group should consist of 3 to 10 dancers. Can be all-boy, all-girl or mixed group. The dance style should include any forms of HIP HOP, though B-Boy can be added. The duration of the dance should be within 3 -5 minutes. No vulgarities, obscenity and explicit contents allowed. All participants to provide their own music CD, costumes, hair styling and makeup.

    PRIZES

    1st Prize: $800 cash prize 2ndPrize: $600 cash prize 3rdPrize: $400 cash prize 5 consolation prizes of $100 *1stPlace winner gets to perform at Momentum Showcase

    JUDGING CRITERIA

    Groups will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the organiser. The decisionof the panel is final and no correspondences or enquiries will be entertained.

    The organiser reserves the right not to reward any of the prizes should the entriesin the judges opinion did not meet the required standards.

    The organiser deserves the right to publicise, and or broadcast the winners names,images or characters at any time the organisers deem fit.

    The organiser reserves the right to cancel any competition category if there isinsufficient participation.

    The organiser reserves the right to change, amend or withdraw any of the rules andregulations stipulate without notice.

    The judging criteria are as follows:

    REGISTRATION

    There is no registration fee required. Participants must be 13-25 years old. All groups and participants to sign and submit registration forms which can be downloaded

    at the facebook page facebook.com/rpresentingtodafullest

    A softcopy should be emailed [email protected] by 13 April 2013, Monday.

    A hardcopy should be printed out, signed and submitted personally to the person-in-charge

    during the audition day itself on 19th

    April 2013.

    Participants under 18 years old as at 31 December 2012 will have to complete both

    indemnity and parents consent form.

    All others please complete only the indemnity form.

    No replacement of participants is allowed throughout the competition. While the organiser will take reasonable care in the proper and safe conduct of the

    competition; participants shall be personally responsible for the safety and well-being of his/her

    person and his/her participation in the competition. The organiser will not be liable for any

    injuries or mishaps sustained during the preparations and course of the competition.

    Time: 5.30pm

    Where: Republic Polytechnic, South Agora (Near W1)

    Please bring along your music CD and a back-up copy(both in wav format), registration feeand the registration forms (hard copy) on the day itself.

    All members of the crew are required to be punctual on the day of competition for the stage

    run.

    RULES AND REGULATIONS

    Maximum of 10 participants per group Limited to 3-5 minutes per group per performance Choreography must not be offensive to audience No Offensive images / prints on outfits Attire must not be too revealing Competition based on point system All props and stunts should be done so with safety in mind

    PARTICIPANTS / PERFORMERS (GENERAL)

    Competitors must show level of sportsmanship at all times Competitors are required to bring their own personal safety

    equipment (optional)

    No outside supporters allowed backstage Competitors are to leave the stage immediately after their

    performance

    Participants & performers must stay within the allocatedholding area

    Should there be a need for participants/ performers towonder off, an official must be informed prior to leaving the

    premises

    Participants/performers are to report to the stage manager atleast 30 minutes before their allocated performance slots** Participants/performers who fail to comply with the above

    mentioned RULES & REGULATIONS will immediately be disqualified

    and dismissed from the premises of the competition.

    **JUDGES DECISIONS AREFINAL AND NO FORM OF APPEAL WILL

    BE ENTERTAINED
