The Land of the RisingSun, Arunachal Pradesh wasrepresented by a folklore danceperformance Geyomza by theMisi tribe commenting on earlychild marriage where theThappu Dance by the Adi tribedescribed victory in the war.Tripura presented Hozagiridance by the girls of Reiyangcommunity known for theirflexible body. Their elegantsupple movements balancingbottles with burning lamps ontheir head was a rare treat.Another dance Mamita by theTripuri tribe was a happy com-position of farmer community.Mizoram presented Solakiadance by Mara community andworld fame Cherow (Bamboodance) by Mizo communityhad a combination of vibran-cy and delicacy. Nagaland's Nagda dance showcasedpeculiar culture of the statewhere the artistes producedfresh fire from rubbing bam-boos and presented a soulfuldance imbibing their high qual-ity community singing. Theirattire was so attractive thatmany families clicked photoswith them after the show. Singi Chham(Snow LionDance) of Sikkim stole theshow with their captivating per-formance, Bhuruva Silli, a col-orful dance of Raee girls wasof great attraction. Bodo girlspresented Dhal Thungri and

Bardaisikhla dances along withtheir peculiar instruments likeShifung, Serja, Toka and Kham.Bihu with graceful movementsof girls and traditional musicensemble of Pempa, Bahi,Sutoli, Assamese Dhol wascentral of attraction. Wangalaof Garo tribe and Shad SukMinsim of Khasi Communitywere at their best. Kalkiwas accompanied by Sapna Bhavnani, Chief Income TaxCommissioner Neena Kumar, and district collector Rohit Gupta,Hasan Paliwala, and Deepak Parihar.Kalki while addressing the media at this juncture said that womenneed to empower themselves. She admitted tha she cannotstay glued to one type of roles in movies.Alok Deekshit of the café apprised that the interior of the hang-out place is immersed in Rajasthani colors.
