ANNAUL CHURCH SERVICE CONT’D

u  Under the auspices of the Grand Bahama Christian Council members of the Grand Bahama Division of the Royal Bahamas Police Force attended its Annual Church Service at The Mary Star of the Sea situated on East Sunrise. Some two hundred and twenty Police Officers under the leadership of Senior assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. Emrick Seymour gave praise and thanks to God for another successful year in service to the Community of Grand Bahama & the Northern Bahamas; joining in the service were officers from the various Law Enforcement Agencies -Bahamas Customs, Department of Immigration, Royal Bahamas Defense Force and the Staff of the Road Traffic Department.

u  Also in attendance at the service was Senator The Honorable Keith Bell who brought remarks on behalf the Minister of National Security. A number of other politicians and civic leaders were also in attendance in the persons of Dr. Michael Darville- Minister for Grand Bahama, Chief Justice Hartman Longley and other members of the Judiciary, Senator’s Tanisha Tynes and Julian Russell. Mr. Peter Turnquest MP and Deputy Leader of the Opposition and Mr. Neko Grant MP , Former Member of Parliament Kenneth Russell. respective communities

CIVIC LEADERS IN ATTENDANCE

u  Pastor Peter Pinder- President of the Grand Bahama Christian Council along with his members and Pastors from the neighboring communities were also in attendance at the service. Father David Cooper preached a moving and powerful sermon. He admonished officers to give the best of their service as the community is appreciative of the sacrifice they give. Additionally he said that our duties and commitment should be to God, our families and the communities we serve ; it should be of reverence, excellence and integrity.
