About Round School Times

One day in early 2015, a Huegel student publication appeared in the library book return. It was enti-tled “Round School Times” and was published in 1995. We decided to revive Round School Times so we set to work writing and drawing. A small but dedicated group of students persisted the entire semester and created this book. We used iBooks Author to create the digital publication.

Ms. Monica Millen was the faculty advisor.

The Best AuditionsOne day there was a girl named Kimberley who enjoyed singing. One day there was an

audition for singing at school so she decided to sigh up for the auditions. The auditions were on April 30 and that day it was April 12 so she had 3 weeks to practice before she would sing in front of the hole school. That same day she went to the store and buy new dresses and shoes.

When she went home she had to pick the dress and

shoes that she would wear for the auditions on Friday. When it was Friday she was so nervous that she sang her way to school. When she got there her friends cheered for her. When the hour came to sing in front of the school, she sang better than she used to. Then the teacher said that on Monday there was going to be a chart in the cafeteria where it lists who are the ones that are participating in the play as the pretty girl.

It was Monday. It was time to see who was in the play for the pretty girl that sings in the moon. Everyone was so crowded that Kim had to crawl down. When she saw who was the pretty girl she yelled because she was the one who was participating in the play as the pretty girl. When she went

home, she ran to tell her mom in a exciting way. Her mom knew that she had been picked because of the way she came in. At 4:30 her friends came over to celebrate that she was in the play. Every one of her friends was very happy that their friend was in the play.

The next day when she came home she saw a letter on her bed. Then she opened it. It said, “Congratulations. I hope you are very happy.”
