#NPLNSWCLUB WELCOME
Good evening and welcome to what promises to be an enticing round ten
National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s clash under lights at Cromer Park this Saturday.
Manly United return to play in front of their fans - who will be hoping for one way traffic across 90 minutes.
The last time Paul Dee’s men were on home soil in the league they were impressive, with a late goal from Travis Oughtred sealing a hard fought 2-1 win versus a gallant Sutherland on April 28.
Tonight’s opponent are Sydney United 58 FC, on paper arguably the best team in the competition.
The Reds will travel to the Northern Beaches feeling confident - last start they beat APIA Leichhardt Tigers 1-0.
With ex Manly players Chris Payne, Matt Sim and goalkeeper Tom Manos all key figures for the Reds, it could be a juicy affair.
Sash Macura is the player to watch for Manly United.
The rugged midfielder is known for his ironman-like performances each week, but in recent rounds has also shown his goal scoring prowess, finding the back of the net against Sydney FC and Wollongong Wolves.
For the visitors, Panni Nikas has been in ominous form, and is definitely the man the hosts need to contain come kick-off at 7pm.
See you at the game and go you mighty Manly United FC!

NPLNSW.COM.AU 1ST GRADE MATCH PREVIEW
Reigning National Premier Leagues NSW Champions Manly United are finding form
and will be out to continue their climb up the ladder with a win against Sydney United 58 on Saturday.
Manly are back at home for only the fourth time this season so far and will be using their passionate support to boost them to victory.
After losing three matches to start the season, Manly have gone undefeated over their past six games.
Last week they were forced to settle for a draw against Wollongong Wolves but the signs are still positive for Paul Dee’s side.
Defender Keiran Paull was a star performer for Manly in the previous round with his dangerous crosses into the box helping to create chance after chance.
United 58 last week proved they are fighting on despite recent off field instability which included the departure of former coach Jason Culina.
Patrick Antelmi delivered on his great promise up front to score the winner against APIA. United 58 also proved they can find a way to win without Panny NIkas who has carried the team this season with his impressive performances in midfield.
A win could see Manly leapfrog United 58 into fourth position on the table.
There is plenty on the line for both teams and it is sure to be a thrilling matchup.

#NPLNSWMATCH REVIEWSWollongong Wolves FC 1 – Manly United 1 at WIN Stadium
Wollongong Wolves have clawed their way back to a 1-1 draw with Manly United after a spirited late revival at WIN Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
A dominant second half display had the Manly on course for three points with Sasa Macura’s beautiful strike from the outside box appearing decisive.
The Wolves, however, refused to roll over, throwing numbers forward to stage a late comeback which allowed Yuzo Tashiro to head his side level in the last minute of normal time.
The hosts went close to snatching a win late on, yet the points were shared in a match that both teams will draw positives from.
Sydney United 58 1 – APIA Leichhardt Tigers 0 at Sydney United Sports Centre
Patrick Antelmi’s second half strike helped Sydney United 58 topple competition leaders APIA Leichhardt Tigers 1-0 in a fierce battle at Sydney United Sports Centre on Saturday evening.
The former Wollongong striker clinched his fourth goal of the season twelve minutes after half time when he pounced on a long ball over the top before firing past APIA goalkeeper Blake Tuxford.
NPL NSW frontrunners APIA Leichhardt had scored 15 goals in their previous four matches before the clash at Edensor Park but were unable to muster a response following Antelmi’s opener and were held scoreless for just the second time this campaign.
Despite enjoying the more goal scoring opportunities Sydney United 58 were not at their clinical best, however the Reds will be buoyed enormously by what was a resolute defensive performance and all-round committed showing in the wake of back to back defeats to Hakoah Sydney City East and Bonnyrigg White Eagles.
A third consecutive loss would have mounted concerns for United 58 who parted ways with head coach Jason Culina during the week but now find themselves four points behind the leaders after nine matches played.

NPLNSW.COM.AU U20’S MATCH PREVIEWManly United will be aiming to heap more
misery on out of form an out of form Sydney United 58 side when the pair clash on the Northern Beaches on Saturday afternoon.
The Cromer Park outfit haven’t been at their best so far this campaign but secured a sensational 1-0 victory over fourth-placed Wollongong Wolves last round to reignite their stuttering season.
That victory lifted Manly off the bottom of the table and back to back wins on Saturday will see them overtake their Sydney United 58 opponents on the ladder.
After starting the season in dominant fashion United 58 slumped a fifth consecutive defeat in round nine to drop out of the top five for the first time this season and are now fixed in mid-table. Despite the crushing defeat, the Reds offered a very encouraging performance at home and created an abundance of chances – should the visitors replicate a similar standard at Cromer Park they have a great chance of snapping their unwanted losing run.
