President’s Ball Almost Sold Out
C o-chairs Arthur Kassel and Richard Malchar an-nounced that regular tickets for the annual President’s Ball have gone. Broadway legend and Phantom of the Op-era star Davis Gaines will open the evening. Steve Coo-
ley will present an LA5 Presidential Citation to District Attorney Jackie Lacey. Actor and comedian Bob Saget will entertain.
Aware that many Rotarians make plans at the last minute, Arthur and Richard have reserved a few VIP tickets for the procrastina-tors. Last-minute planners can grab a couple tickets at the early-bird price by calling the office or going to the LA5 website. Walk-ins at the City Club are also welcome but, please be advised we are serious now, those tickets are at a higher price.

Asked to close his eyes and make a couple wishes, Prez Ken first dreamed of a weekend with his wife Heidi free of Rotary telephone calls and then a sell-out President’s Ball. His
second wish has been granted but he has to wait until July 1 for his first wish.
