Dear Friends,

Let me take the opportunity to acknowledge all of you for giving me an opportunity to serve the Rotary District 3060. By the time we start thinking and executing our thoughts into action, the year has gone by. Let’s start delivering what is expected from me, you and all of us, right now. Our Rotary International President Gary & Corina have given us a wonderful theme “Light up Rotary”, which says it all. Let’s re ignite the spark within and execute the plans accordingly.

We have witnessed excellent participation at our various training starting with PRATIBHA, PRERNA & PRATGIYA, for which I am indebted to the District Training team led by PDG Dr. Nilax Mufti. We at District 3060 are always watched over by the Rotary World as we have given International Leaders to Rotary. We need to reach out to the expectations and believe in continuity for better image of Rotary.

I urge all the Club leaders to continue their regular activities and actively participate in the Gram Kalyan Project, which is our dream project as our District Governor 2015-16 Parag and District Governor 2016-17 Hitesh will be following in their tenure to fulfill the motto of Rotary “Service above self”.

We, Ketan Patel and Hemang Naik from Rotary Club of Vapi, feel privileged to be part of editorial team of Governor’s Monthly Letter - ROTATOR 3060 and thank DG Ashish for trusting us. We shall put our best efforts to make ROTATOR 3060 more informative and entertaining during the year.

DG Ashish have guided us to make ROTATOR 3060, a complete family magazine. He wishes that ROTATOR 3060 should be interesting enough for not only Rotarians but also their family members and friends.

Friends, ROTATOR 3060 is OUR magazine and we humbly request for your active support to make it more informative and interesting for the readers. Governor’s Monthly Letter

On the 27th of December 1969, The Ajmera household witnessed the dawn of this young lad aptly named “Ashish”. He opened his eyes to the world in an incredibly strong Social & Political background with Grandfather Late Chhaganlalji Ajmera a Freedom Fighter & eminent follower of Mahatma Gandhi & Vinoba Bhave. Grandmother Late Smt. Kamalabai Ajmera served as MLA of Dhule City Constituency for 17 years and also served as a Minister to Government of Maharashtra. Father Ramesh Ajmera fondly referred to as Annasaheb is a prominent Social Worker serving as a trustee in various educational institutes. Mother Dr. Suryakanta, a well renowned critic, retired Principal of Mahila Mahavidhyalaya, Dhule is active in numerous educational forums. Ashish completed his early schooling at Canossa Convent High School, Dhule later on moving to Boy's Town Public School, Nasik. He accomplished his graduation in Commerce from the prestigious Symbiosis College of Commerce, Pune.

Ashish found his companion for life in Ranu, a double graduate with MA in Hindi & B.Sc. and a Past President of Inner Wheel Club of Dhule Crossroad. The couple is blessed with two gorgeous kids, Ashita studying in Std 11th Science & Rohit studying in Std 8th.

The Ajmera's being strong believers of the Indian culture live together in a joint family. Enriching these ancestral values, Ashish along with Ranu resides with his parents, elder brother Atul, Bhabhi – Smita n kids making them all, one tightly knit unit. Professionally, he is a partner at M/s. C. R. Ajmera, Surya Developers, Pune & Aasara Developers, Dhule.

Rotaract:

He first stepped into the Rotary family as a member of Rotaract Club of Dhule in 1988-89. Moving on to become the president of Rotaract Club of Dhule in 1996-97, Ashish bagged 14 District awards & 3 Rotary International awards for his home club. It was no looking back for him since then. A moment he recalls with pride and believes it was then that he truly understood his higher calling to serve the society through the noble stream of rotary.

His commitment in service excelled him to the post of District Rotaract Representative of RI District 3060 in 1999-2000. . During his tenure as a DRR, he led a team of 39 members to Rotasia at Dhaka; Bangladesh. Ashish also Chaired DETS (DRR Elects Training Seminar) for South Asia Zone hosted by our District at Vapi and Co – Chaired ROTASIA2004 (Rotaract South Asia Conference) hosted by our District at Daman, which is considered to be one of the most successful Rotasias till date.

Rotary:

The journey of service and fellowship continued as he joined Rotary Club of Dhule Crossroad in June 2002. He shouldered responsibilities for several assignments at Club and District Level. He was Co-Chairman for Rotaract in 2002-03, Area Co-ordinator for Polio Plus in 2003-04, Chairman for Inter District Youth Exchange in 2004-05, Chairman for Rotaract in 2005-06. Ashish served as the President of Rotary club of Dhule Crossroads in 2006-07 and during his tenure he conceived and executed various Mega Projects benefiting the community of Dhule. His unprecedented leadership qualities helped him gain a significantly strong public image for his club locally as well as in the eyes of R.I.Dist 3060.

He was accorded the Best President Award apart from RI President's citation, District Governor's citation, & District membership development awards EREY Platinum Trophy. His performance as Best President promoted him to the big league with the post of Assistant Governor in 2007-08. . He served as Co-ordinator of GSE in 2008-09, Chairman for Water Management Committee in 2009-10. District Secretary in 2010-11 and is presently serving as a chairman to support and inspire the weak clubs of our District. Ashish has been bestowed with some of the most prestigious awards at District level. He rightfully earned the Best Rotarian Award for 2009-10 and was awarded amongst Top 10 Rotarians Award twice.

Ashish and his better half Ranu are Major Donor Level II and their kids are Paul Harris Fellows.

Other Activities:

Ashish is actively involved in various Sports, Co-operative & Professional Organizations. He is a serving President of Dhule District Table Tennis Association, working President of Dhule District Athletics Association, Vice President : Dhule Charitable Society, Chairman : Rotary Charitable Trust, Dhule & a Life member of Youth Hostel Association of India, Dhule Branch.

A true visionary, A man with infectious energy, A Leader who thoroughly believes in team work, A dreamer who has brought us all together to not just live his dream but to make it our own.

“IFCR - International Fellowship of Cricket Loving Rotarians” is one of the fellowship voluntary programs

of Rotary International. We are fortunate enough to host such a fellowship program festival in our

district during February 2012.thIFCR organizes Cricket Festival every 2-3 years at various hosting nations. This coming Rotary year 8

th thWorld Rotary Cricket Festival will be hosted at Nottingham, United Kingdom thru 13 July to 19 July

2014.Our district will be represented at the festival by 3 Rotary members and we also have the IFCR India
