Your involvement is critical to the success of the Rotary Club of Park Cities and to your experience as a Rotarian. Schedules dynamic and varied programs for Club meeting that are of interest to both members and guests.

Records member attendance at meetings and contacts members who have missed successive meetings. Awards perfect attendance certificates.
______ INTERVIEW/CLASSIFICATION Chair: Ruth Alhilali Vice-chair: Dwight Clasby Time: 2-3 hours per month
Interviews proposed members to discuss in detail the benefits and responsibilities of RI and RCPC.
______ MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT Chair: Mark Cameron Vice-chair: Mary McMahon Time: 3-4 hours per month
Supports the membership in identifying and qualifying new members for the Club.

Ensures new members become involved in the Club by connecting them into specific service roles.

Conducts a formal orientation meeting for all new members. The committee is comprised of past RCPC presidents.

Trains members in CPR and the use of the Club’s AED device as well as ensuring its availability at all Club functions.

Sets up and takes down A/V equipment at Club meetings, maintains and displays member badges weekly.
______ BULLETIN (THE HUB) Chair: Betty Dawson Vice-chair: Time: 2-3 hours per week
Produces weekly The Hub newsletter in a timely and professional manner.

Plans all club social events – generally 2-3 per year to build better friendships.

Takes photos during weekly Club meetings and Club events and photographs all new members for the Rosters.

Introduces guests and visiting Rotarians at weekly Club meetings.

Offers non-denominational prayers at weekly Club meetings and informs the Club of any special concerns.

Assists Carter Blood Care in blood drives at NorthPark Center soliciting donations from retailers and patrons.
______ RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE Chair: Jina McDaniel Vice-chair: Hugh Griffith Time: 2-3 hours per month
Prepares and serves an evening meal for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House on the third Monday of each month.
______ SCOTTISH RITE CLAY SHOOT Chair: London O’Dowd Vice-chair: Mark Kashar Time: 5 hour one time event
Fills manpower needs of this fundraiser benefiting Scottish Rite Hospital on Saturday, August 20, 2011.
______ SCOTTISH RITE HOSPITAL Chair: John Reed Vice-chair: Philip Ray Time: 3 hours per year in December
Fills holiday tins of popcorn for the agency’s annual fundraiser one weekday evening in early December.

Staffs train display at NorthPark Center during the holiday season benefiting Ronald McDonald House.

Oversees the repair and maintenance of the fully accessible playground and coordinates periodic member cleanup days during the year.

Delivers meals to the homebound in East Dallas and Mesquite once a month in connection with the Visiting Nurse Association.

Edits and records the reading of materials for the physically and mentally impaired.

Interacts with veterans confined to the VA Hospital on the 1st Wednesday night of each month and also hosts other special events for the veterans.

Promotes ethical awareness, presents community awards and coordinates the Rotary Ethics Month program during February.

Promotes Four Way Speech Contest using Rotary’s four principles at Hillcrest High School in January-March each year.

Recruits scholars to spend a RI funded year abroad studying and serving as RI goodwill ambassadors.

Coordinates Club’s support for clean water initiatives in Kenya.
______ GROUP STUDY EXCHANGE Chair: Brad Rejebian Vice-chair: Jeff Sheehan Time: 3-4 hours in the fall 5-6 hours in the spring
Recruits candidates to participate in exchange trips abroad as well as organizes host families and accommodates incoming GSE teams annually in the spring.

Facilitates matching grants applications from RI and District 5810 for various service projects.

Recruits high school student leaders to apply for RI funded exchange programs to a foreign country.
* Rotary International and District 5810 are committed to an Abuse, Harassment and Neglect
Protocol. Those committees noted above with an asterisk may require volunteers to submit to a background check. The policy has three purposes:
o To protect the welfare of participants in District 5810 programs and provide a vehicle for participants to report and address complaints of abuse, harassment or neglect.
o To protect Rotarians, volunteers and staff within these programs. o To foster and promote the continued successful development and progress of these
