THE CONCEPT
Anne Valerie Hash x Dover Street Market
Anne Valerie Hash for Dover Street Market takes inspiration from the land of the rising sun this Spring Summer 2013 with a prêt-à-porter collection, featuring tailored separates and fluid draped pieces that blend the wearable with French haute couture.
The collection for this Spring Summer 2013 is an interpretation on furoshiki, a traditional practice originating from Japan that elevates the method of wrapping gifts, food packs, and other items with the use of cloth. The silhouettes accordingly are a fusion of east and west with the combination of draped and tailored pieces. From wrapped cloth another interpretation of wrapping by tying things together, is interpreted in this collection by the use of braided rope motifs. Both are key elements that bring together a strong femininity in the five looks shown here.

Zara Spring Summer 2013
Zara takes inspiration from the land of the rising sun this Spring Summer 2013 with a high street collection, featuring tailored separates and fluid draped pieces that blend the wearable with inspiration from the catwalk.
