OUR STORY BEGAN IN 1992...

Rose City Transportation, Inc. opened for business as a motor carrier property broker in May of 1992. Initially, our primary function was to facilitate inbound transportation for Pacific Coast Fruit Co. in Portland, Oregon. Pacific Coast Fruit is an independently owned and operated wholesale produce distributor serving the Pacific Northwest.

By routinely administrating large volumes of refrigerated freight, we have gained valuable experience in arranging for

the successful transportation and delivery of time-sensitive products. Additionally, we have formed many important long-term relationships, with a wide array of customers and carriers, who specialize in a variety of industries. These unique relationships have been cultivated over time and have allowed for our business to enjoy a sustainable and steady pattern of growth.

Pacific Coast Fruit Company is a Portland based, family owned produce distributor that has proudly served Pacific Northwest retail, wholesale, and food service customers since 1977. They are one of the largest independent produce

distributors in the Northwest with distribution warehouses in both Portland, Oregon and Kent, Washington. Pacific Coast Fruit Company has never forgotten their roots and continues to support the local growers who make the Pacific Northwest an exciting region for fruit and vegetable cultivation.

Our $100,000 Surety Bond serves to protect all of our business clientele. This legal document, backed by our Company assets, guarantees that our Company will financially perform and execute as agreed. Rose City Transportation is Performance Certified.

CARRIER REQUIREMENTS

Rose City Transportation has developed a framework to screen, and monitor, the motor carriers with whom we contract. All carrier entities performing work for our customers must meet specific criteria before being dispatched. Through a variety of measures all active carriers are monitored to make sure our company requirements are continually being met.

TERMS TO CARRIER

“Cash Flow” is an extremely important aspect of the transportation business and Rose City Transportation understands this fact. Pride is taken to accurately process all carrier invoices quickly – so remittances can be prepared according to the following schedule… Standard Pay is Seven-Business Days. Additionally, for a fee, we do offer 48 hour Quick Pay
