Agriculture, Animal Science and Aquaculture Graphic Design, Web Design, Music, Play Productions and Video Small Business Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Business Health Careers, Medical Technologi and Biotechnology Green Construction, Welding and Computer-Aided Design Bicycle Technology, Engine Repair and Automotive Services Culinary Arts and Careers with Children Criminal Justice and Fire Technology Expected Student Learning Results ROP offers classes in many career areas including: ROP Facts In 2014-2015 more than 3,000 students enrolled (94% high school, 6% adults) 137 classes in 40 unique subject areas offered at 20 locations ROP serves Pajaro Valley Unified School District, San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District, Scotts Valley Unified School District, Santa Cruz City Schools and, --SCCOE Alternative Education Program Staff includes 62 teachers, 6 counselors, 3 support staff and 2 administrators Serving Santa Cruz County students since 1968 ROP students explore careers and gain valuable work skills. Some ROP classes provide Cabrillo College credit or meet the UC/CSU A-G college prep requirements. Through internships, field trips, job shadowing and class speakers, students acquire skills employers are looking for in their future employees. Students also gain job search skills including resume writing, interviewing skills, and career portfolios that show- case their best work which can then be used in job, college and scholarship interviews.
