FAITH IN GOD CHANGES EVERYTHING

T he word ‘ faith’ as used in the Bible is derived from the

Greek word, ‘ Pistis’  which means:- faith, trust, belief,

or confidence. We all have some kind of faith. We may

have faith in the water we drink and the food we eat-all

things in the natural world. We however should also have

faith in God. When we know what we have we realize

that faith in God can move mountains. Faith in God can

open fountains of blessings, faith in God can make us

succeed as faith supplies our every need. So then faith in

God Changes everything.

Faith as defined in the Bible

Faith means being sure of things we hope for and

knowing that something is real even if we do not see

it. (Hebrews 11:1 NCV)

What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what

we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of

things we cannot yet see. (Hebrews 11:1 NLT)

The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust, this

faith, is the firm foundation under everything that

makes life worth living. It‟s our handle on what we can‟t

see. (Hebrews 11:1 TMB)

NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation,[a]

the

title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof

of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their

reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed

to the senses]. (Hebrews 11:1 AMP)

WHO SHOULD WE HAVE FAITH IN?

GOD AND CHRIST

“Have faith in God”, Jesus answered. (Mark 11:22 NIV).

Let not your heart be troubled: have faith in God and

have faith in me. (John 14:1 BBE)

And this is his law, that we have faith in the name of

his Son Jesus Christ, and love for one another, even as

he said to us. (1 John 3:22 BBE)

But these are recorded, so that you may have faith that

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and so that, having this

faith you may have life in his name.(John 20: 31 BBE)

The bible was written so that people could havefaith in Jesus Christ, the son of God. The Bible is not

a history book nor a science book. Both the Old

Testament and the New Testament points us to
