Rootless Major 251 Chord Progression

The major 251 is one of the most common chord progressions found in jazz. Rootless voicings create a very sophisticated sound and if you’re playing with a bassist, you would be expected to use rootless voicings. They are also very useful when playing solo piano. They can be played with both left and right hands. This resource sheet covers both Type A and Type B rootless voicings.
