Grades will be calculated by the following:

Grade Eight: E*, A, B, C, D, and F Grade Seven: 5*, 4, 3, 2, and 1

Report Card Breakdown

Projects 15%

Tests 40%

Classwork, Effort and Participation 10%

Quizzes 30%

Homework 5%

*Students will only be awarded the grade of an E or 5 for advanced comprehension and application of skill sets.

You may also qualify for Honor Roll if you work hard and maintain your study habits. Averages are calculated by assigning a point value to your grade. E/5=4pts, A/4=3pts, B/3=2pts, C-F/2-1=0pts. The six major subject areas are added up. A minimum of 16 points will earn Second Honors. A minimum of 18 points will earn First Honors. A minimum of 23 points will earn Principal’s Honors. Any student receiving an “M” in conduct or effort in ANY subject (Major or Special) will NOT be eligible for Honors.
