Of course, the basic function of a roof is to provide protection from pouring

rain, burning sun, freezing cold and raging storms, and to continue doing so

for many years.

The roof is a major part of any building, and goes a long way towards defining

products, roofing components and services, sometimes including installation

and finance.

the perfect roof. And of course, none of this is possible without the on-time

delivery of products and services.

Our market partners help turn dreams into reality. They can advise on the right

choice, and they use our products and services to provide a tailor-made solution

that meets the particular needs of the customer. They guarantee trouble-free

work on the spot, taking care of the whole roofing process to make the cus-

tomer’s life easier.

Building long-term relationships

with our market partners is a basic element of our business philosophy, which

is why we provide them with wide-ranging support to help them run their busi-

nesses successfully.

We operate service partner schemes and joint initiatives involving long-term

cooperation with top roofers, distributors and contractors. Together with them,

we identify future opportunities and approach the market as a team, using

good practices developed in our different markets. And together with them,

we spearhead the process of innovation by implementing new business models

as well as innovative installation techniques and tools.

We exchange knowledge with our market partners on a regular basis, ensure

they are constantly informed through our sales teams, linked IT systems and

e-business functionalities, and train them in the use of new technologies and

products. Customer advisory boards provide a forum where we can discuss the

many years of experience in process management, marketing and logistics.

Some examples what this support includes:

■ Logistics/on-site services: innovative packaging, ready-to-use bundles of

roof systems, and new approaches to logistics improve the efficiency of yard

management and ease installation. Roofing products can be delivered to the

site on a just-in-time basis and installed directly by crane. The exact quantity

of tiles and components needed for the job arrives in customised packaging.

Larger numbers of small components can be made available on site and

stored in a special lockable container.

■ Planning tools and consultancy services: we provide visualisation and

design applications as well as electronic planning and tendering aids that

include all tools to put together a state-of-the-art roofing system. Services

include professional help and advice at any point in the design and

construction process, both before and after sales.

■ Marketing and sales support: our marketing media help our partners by

winning new customers and raising their profile as solution providers. We

offer a full range of brochures and point-of-sale materials, such as tile dis-

plays, product samples and mock-up roof racks.

■ Online information and e-ordering tools: websites offer homeowners a

complete information platform. Our market partners have access to web-

based tools that allow them to visualise a roofing solution and calculate its

cost. We provide distributors and roofers with advanced e-commerce tools to

simplify the ordering process and make transactions more efficient.

■ Partner schemes: we are committed to ensuring the success of roofers and

distributors, we are involved in initiatives to set up specialised professional

networks. With training on new products and installation techniques, we

also support a distinctive roofer’s craft.
