PROVIDE TAPERED INSULATION AS REQUIRED TOMAINTAIN A 1/4 : 12 ROOF SLOPE. PROVIDE AMINIMUM ROOF R-VALUE OF R-24 OR GREATER.

ROOF PLAN GENERAL NOTESA. THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ROOF SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN SUCH A MANNER ASTO PROTECT THE EXISTING BUILDING AND ALL OF ITS CONTENTS IN THEIRENTIRETY. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSEDDURING THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR CONTRACTED WORK.
B. FIELD VERIFY SIZE AND LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING MECHANICAL UNITS, ROOFCURBS, ROOF DRAINS, SCUPPERS, SKYLIGHTS AS WELL AS ANY AND ALL OTHERPENETRATIONS OR ROOF ACCESSORIES AND INSTALL NEW ROOF AS REQUIREDTO ACCOMMODATE ACCESSORIES AND CREATE A WATER TIGHT SEAL OVERENTIRE ROOF.
C. COORDINATE ALL WORK WITH DEKALB COUNTY SCHOOLS MAINTENANCEDEPARTMENT AND THE STONE MILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION.
D. LOCATIONS OF NEW ROOFING AND CRICKETING ARE SHOWN FOR DESIGNINTENT ONLY. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING THE PRECISELOCATION AND PROVIDE THESE ELEMENTS AS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE APROPERLY SLOPED AND WATER TIGHT SYSTEM IN WHICH WATER IS NOTRETAINED ON THE ROOF.
E. COORDINATION OF EXISTING BUILDING UTILITIES IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OFTHE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF THE ROOFING REPLACEMENT.IF ANY SERVICE TO THE EXISTING SCHOOL IS REQUIRED TO BE TURNED OFF BYTHE CONTRACTOR, THE SHUT-OFF MUST BE SCHEDULED IN ADVANCE WITH THEDEKALB COUNTY SCHOOLS MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT AND THE STONE MILLELEMENTARY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION.
F. COORDINATE WITH DEKALB COUNTY SCHOOLS MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENTAND STONE MILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION APPROVED LOCATIONSFOR EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL TO BE STORED ON SITE DURING THE DURATIONOF THE WORK.
G. FIELD VERIFY LOCATION AND QUANTITY OF EXISTING DOWNSPOUTS ANDROOF DRAINS. PROVIDE DOWN SPOUTS AT ALL EXISTING LOCATIONS AND AT ALLOVERFLOW SCUPPERS.
H. CONFIRM THAT ALL ROOF DRAINS ARE IN WORKING ORDER AND DRAINING ATAN APPROPRIATE FLOW RATE. REPAIR AND CLEAR ANY OBSTRUCTED, DAMAGEDOR LEAKY DRAINAGE. PROVIDE NEW ROOF DRAIN STRAINERS.
I. ALL ROOF TOP MECHANICAL UNITS ARE UNDER MANUFACTURER WARRANTY.THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COORDINATION AND ASSURANCETHAT NO WORK PERFORMED WILL VOID MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY.
