We have raised our 5 sons here, had businesses here and are founders of an award winning charity here. We have been nothing short of appalled at the "on goings" in our city over the past 2 years. We can't possibly understand why our democratically elected members were ever stood down in the first place. Surely we, the people, had the right to vote them out at the next election - isn't that at the core of democracy? We, the people, lost the true leadership, history, intellectual property of some very passionate, community driven, genuine, authentic decent citizens. Then, to find out that this dreadful fraud that was supposed to be committed, was just here-say and total fraud in itself, is beyond any comprehendible understanding for normal everyday people like us. It is the hope of the citizens of Logan that we are able to hear the full disclosure of this disgusting injustice to us and the cause of this deformation of our city. There is no way that our former councillors and mayor can ever be compensated for this injustice but we do believe they are entitled to financial remuneration and yes it will be us the rate payer that is hit again. We expect that the members of the Crime and Corruption Commission to face the full letter of the law because they swore to lead us with integrity and not just for some political game.

Dear Mr Krause,

Submission 031

Inquiry into the Crime and Corruption Commission's Investigation of the former councillors of Logan City Council; and related matters

We are proud Logan City citizens of 36 years.

We were once a city of amazing community spirit where everyone came togetherfor the good of its citizens, now it feels like people are afraid to help each otheror support organisations or groups for fear of doing “something wrong” It now feelslike the people who made the accusations - the self-proclaimed whistle blowers areleading our city. How do we address that?

Mr Krause, we pray for wisdom for you and your committee as you lead this investigation. May truth and integrity prevail for the citizens of Logan.

Yours faithfully

Ron and Debbie HillHumble Logan Residents and Rate Payers
