1. Discover Camps

Discover Camps project is aiming to bring the multicultural element in the summer camps organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and by other camps

organizers from Romania. The trainees will present their culture, organize creative and sport activities, deliver sessions about cultural understanding and career

The camps are outside of the city and the intern will spend 4 weeks in the summer camps, and the first and last week of the internship in Cluj-Napoca city. 2. Discover CommunityDiscover is designed as a first step in the kids self-discovery and it comes to complement the formal educational system of Romania. It is the first phase of the non-formal educational cycle developed by AIESEC. Its target are students from 1st to 8th grade from schools and from orphanages(8-15 years). We realised that nowadays, children are stuck in the theoretical

educational system and they are not necessarily aware of the qualities or skills they have or might have. With this project, we seek to offer the

children sessions held by international volunteers who will give them a real cross-cultural understanding and will improve their soft skills and English

skills, ultimately making them more self-aware. The English language is the most practical result of the project for the kids (something tangible the parents will see, for example), but in reality it is just a tool for the

cultural and skills development, which is the core of the project.

Number of trainees expected : 45 Period of implementatoin : 13 June - 31 July

Number of weeks : 6-7 Arrival period : Maximum one week before the project starts.

3. GrowGROW represents a long term, non-formal educational engagement designed to improve the quality of

education in Romania. GROW is the nationwide youth development program that represents a long term, non-formal educational engagement designed to improve the quality of education in Romania.Already in its 5th year, the project is organized by Scoala de Valori (School of Values) in partnership

with AIESEC and it addresses high school students in Romania (age 14-18). The program offers them a professionally designed educational curriculum that complements the formal education system. GROW

comes to bring the students a new perspective on education and to help them realize their potential outside the traditional classroom.

What happens more exactly on GROW is that the internationals meet the students and have sessions with them in which they discover together, among others, what their values are, how they work in a team and how they can take initiative. The sessions are extremely helpful, both for the students, who feel that their ideas matter and who learn in an unconventional way, and also for the EPs who deliver them, because

they develop their facilitating skills, learn about how they deal in a new, challenging environment together with other internationals.
