Desde que me convertí en Pastor de San Agustín-Nuestra Señora de la Victoria, he estado en contacto continuo y regular con la Oficina Financiera de la Arquidiócesis, ya que quiero asegurarme de que la Parroquia esté operando de conformidad con los protocolos y procedimientos financieros de la Arquidiócesis. Como siempre, si algún feligrés tiene alguna pregunta o inquietud, puede compartir esa inquietud conmigo o, si lo prefiere, remitir la inquietud al Sr. Bill Whiston, quien se desempeña como Director Financiero de la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York, para que pueda ser dirigido.

Since I have become Pastor of St Augustine-Our Lady of Victory, I have been in ongoing and regular contact with the Archdiocese Financial Office, as I want to make certain that the Parish is operating in compliance with Archdiocesan financial protocols and procedures. As always, if any parishioner has a question or concern, they can share that concern with me, or if they prefer, forward the concern to Mr. Bill Whiston, who serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the Archdiocese of New York, so that it might be addressed.

In an effort to be fully transparent, we presently have the oversight of an accountant and separate bookkeeper. Our books are reconciled each month. The accounting software that we use is fully "viewable" to the financial authorities of the Diocese. Within the last year I participated in a complete diocesan audit of both the Parish and the Pantry. I am working collaboratively with Catholic Charities as they begin the process of taking over the Pantry. As would be expected, I have had to pass through their scrutiny as well. As our fiscal year begins September 1st... On the first Sunday after Labor Day, going beyond Diocesan policy, I had a "Town Hall" style meeting (not the first) after Mass on Sunday in which I gave a "State of the Parish" address for any Parishioner that desired to hear it. On February 9th, I had a meeting with our seven-member financial council. I Ironically, have another meeting scheduled with them this upcoming week.

Now that I have responded, I respectfully ask that you direct any other questions to the Office of Mr. Bill Whiston, aforementioned.
