Dear Colleagues Further to the recent announcement confirming the decision to combine Mainline & Metro’s Business Unit 2 with Services and the UK, this communication sets out the associated organisation design impacts within the newly established division, which will now be known as Rolling Stock Atlantic & Services. Paul Roberts will continue to lead UK Services & South Africa, with this region being expanded to include the Nordic Region. In this capacity, Tim Jenkins will report to Paul. Tim continues to be responsible for leading the Nordic Region and for all associated P&L deliverables. This Region will be collectively known as Services UK, Nordic & South Africa. Paul will continue to lead the Fleet Management Service Line. Francis Paonessa will continue to lead the RS1 Business Unit and will additionally support me to define the operation strategy for the Division. This Business Unit will now be known as Rolling Stock UK. Michael Fohrer will continue to lead the Central Region and the Global Parts Service Line. The region will be expanded to include the Asia region. In this capacity, Nick King will report to Michael Fohrer. This region will now be known as Central Europe, Russia & Asia. Furthermore, Michael will take the leadership of the Component Repair & Overhaul (CRO) Service Line. In this capacity, Christoph Kirschinger will report directly to Michael. Simone Mantero will continue to lead SEMENA, with this region being expanded to include Brazil. Andre Guyvarch will continue to lead Services interests in Brazil and in this capacity will report into Simone. This region will now be known as Western Europe, Iberia, Mediterranean, & Latin America. Simone will continue to lead the Fleet Cargo Service Line. Jean-Baptiste Eymeoud, Head of RS2, will continue to lead the Rolling Stock Business Unit, comprising Crespin, Bruges & Ceska Lipa. This Business Unit will now be known as Rolling Stock, Western Europe. In terms of the functions, Mathieu Godin will lead the Division’s Contracts & Legal Affairs, Benedict Lannoye will lead Procurement, Rob Sykes will lead Bids, PM & Asset Life Management Service Line, Taoufiq Boussaid will lead Finance and Nicki Crossland will lead HR. Jean Berge will continue to lead Sales for Southern and will report directly to me.

For ease of reference, the organisation chart at figure 1, shows the leadership reporting structure. fig.1

Building on the methodology I introduced in Services in early 2012, I will continue to operate a governance which comprises an Executive team to focus on managing the Strategic Direction of the Division as well as an Operational Management Team, who will be responsible for the delivery of the Division’s strategic objectives. The table below, details the individuals that comprise both teams. This two tiered approach provides a more effective structure for ensuring an increased rigor and focus is maintained on the Division’s growth plan and underpinning strategy. The governance process supporting this methodology will be distributed to the members in a separate communication.

The Management Team Structure will be reviewed at a later date to take into account Operations requirements of the Division. My priorities for the Division, under this new structure, remain focussed as follows:

• To ensure delivery of the financial objectives,

• To achieve targeted top line growth,

• To continuously improve our operations,

• To develop capabilities of teams and individuals, • To reshape engineering.
