gets past the finish line first it is about who does more laps in 24 hours.

The track is 3.50 miles.

When is it? It is on the last week of January or the first week of February.

History The race has had several names over the

years depending on who sponsored it. Pepsi and SunTrust bank were two sponsors.

The first race was held in 1962. It was a 3 hour race.

In 1966 the race extended to 24 hours.
