Legal Empowerment Project

• Implementation by SRSP, Technical & financial Assistance by OSI whereas DCHD is hired for Capacity building support by OSI
Phase 1---Need Assessment

• Knowledge Attitude & Perception (KAP) Survey
• Focus Group Discussions with both Men & Women
• Focus Group Discussions with JIRGA elders
• Key informant interviews with stakeholders
• Individual case studies
2,700 respondents surveyed
• 84% had faced crisis events and disputes in last three years.
• 21% of these issues were related to health services
• 20% were related to problems regarding natural resources
• 16% were related to education
• 8% were related to agriculture
• 6% were related to land disputes
