Modules are ‘rated’ by level• C - Certificate• I - Intermediate • H - Higher

Although these levels usually align with the Stages/years of a programme, it is not always the case.

Although the School of Computing has made full use of the three levels, until recently Business has not, preferring to use C & H.


Credit Framework – cont’dThe choice of modules for Stages 2 and 3 must satisfy university-wide requirements.Over Stages 2 & 3, a student must take• an overall total 240 credits• at least 210 credits at level I or above (accordingly, 30 credit

balance may be at any level)At Stage 3, a student must take• at least 90 credits at level H

undertake a 30 credit final year project (CO600/CO650)If CO539 Web Development chosen instead of CO600/CO650, then CO655 becomes mandatory in Spring term. This also uses up 30 credits non-H level at Stage 3 as Networking is mandatory in the Spring Term.
