What was/ is the issue?2007
Recognise fundamental problem with the sharing of roads for vulnerable road users.
30 mph speed limit leaves very little time for reaction.Segregation of VRU’s not possible, ethical, equitable
or successful.Required a “paradigm shift” in the way residential and
urban roads were sharedMany VO’s had default 20 mph speed limits on
“radar”, none had it in its sights!
What was change you wanted to bring about?
20 mph default speed limit for all residential roads.
