◆ Verco’s Patented anti-contamination seal will work in virtually any highly contaminated systems farbetter than other seals of this type.
◆ The VERCO Capped T-Seal assembly consists of a filled PTFE cap, and an elastomeric energizerthat are protected from extrusion and contamination by our VERLON back-up rings.
◆ The VERCO Capped T-Seal is designed to handle temperature extremes, a wide variety of fluidmedia and larger than normal clearances—yet it requires a short axial length gland, and as-sembles and installs easily in the shop or in the field.
◆ Unlike conventional cap-type seals, VERCO’s Capped T-Seal virtually eliminates piston drift.VERCO’s cap is loaded both in the static mode through high energizer squeeze, and in thedynamic mode through the proportional axial-to-radial conversion of system pressure levels. Thus, afully positive seal is maintained throughout the pressure range. VERCO’s substantial, uniform cappermits a high degree of evenly distributed radial load, virtually eliminating the possibility ofexcessive wear and premature failure found in conventional cap type seals.
◆ Wider clearances can be used when designing with the Capped-T Seal. This allows for the use ofwear rings which eliminate the possibility of piston and bore damage due to metal-to-metal contact.
◆ When replacing single or multiple lip seals, a substantial reduction in piston length can beachieved even with the addition of wear rings. This reduction does not come at the expense ofclearance limits or performance.
VERCO’s Capped T-Seal is adouble-acting, high-pres-sure, high performancepiston seal accommodatinglarger extrusion gapswhen used in conjunctionwith VERCO Ultra-PrecisionWear Rings.
All members of theassembly (backup andseal ring) are ener-gized by the loadring. Thus, there is noleak path for contami-nation to work on theprimary seal andshorten it’s life.

◆ VERCO SERIES 1758 have been designed specifically to fit into a static O-Ring groove. TheBack-Up cross section has been engineered to not only fit, but give you optimum life. See table onfollowing page for actual back-up cross section.
◆ Series 1758 Back-Ups fit snugly into the groove. This helps avoid twisting or bunching of theback-up ring. Series 1758 Back-Ups are manufactured from compound HT20220R. This is apolyester material compounded from DuPont Hytrel®. It has extremely good extrusion resistance.Tests have shown that compound POLY-TEMP HT2022OR can last as much as 5 times longerthan urethane or rubber back-ups.
◆ Series 1758 Poly-Temp Back-Ups can be easily stretched into placed without taking apermanent set. This quality makes assembly easy, requiring less time than other types of back-upsand will not twist, fall out or roll over in the groove.
◆ Half-thickness back-ups in this series are also available. Ask for Series 1790.
