Compressor and Turbine ControlFeatures and Benefts

Compressor ControlAdvanced surge control

Operating point tracking, look-up table curve t, adaptive

gain, etc., all contribute to the ability o saely operating

the compressor close to the surge limit line.

Incipient surge detection/control SurgeGard

SurgeGard detects the instabilities that occur as a precursor

to surge. The incipient surge detection is independent o

the compressor perormance map. SurgeGard provides or

a wider operating window, permits close operation to theactual surge line, identies/corrects shits in the surge line

and acilitates surge point testing.

Integrated process/capacity control

Standard solutions oer coordinated action between

perormance control and anti-surge control. Simple selection

o capacity control type (suction pressure, discharge pressure,

pressure ratio, ow, etc.).

Load-sharing optimization

Combination o equal-distance load balancing and loadoptimization results in maximum load share ef ciency.

Fallback algorithms

Allows or continued operation in the event o a critical

transmitter ailure (critical transmitters include ow, suction

pressure and discharge pressure).

Turbine ControlTurbine speed control

Fast processing time allows the turbine governor unctions

to be incorporated into the control system simpliying

hardware providing a totally integrated solution.

Turbine overspeed protection

Integrated yet segregated overspeed protection or your

turbine increases uptime and simplies hardware. Up to

nine independent speed inputs and six discrete outputs

provide overspeed and over acceleration protection or yourturbine train.

Automated start-up, sequencing and shutdown

Startup/shutdown sequences, process interlocks, purge

and warm-up cycles can be incorporated and coordinated

between stages/sections, and the process. The process can

be put on-line quickly and consistently.

Auxiliary controls

Lube and seal oil systems, process auxiliaries and saety

interlocks can easily be incorporated into the system.

Communications between control and machinery protection

applications within our solutions are easy to establish and with

capacity or thousands o I/O points process interlocks are easy
